Baity Diesel Truck Repair

I was quoted 1500.00 to rebuild my transmission and was asked to make a deposit to start the work and the deposit was made in the amount of 532.00 and [redacted] informed me that the transmission would be ready on May 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. On May 21, 2014, a cash deposit of 500.00 was taken to BDR, Inc., at around 2:00 p.m. After several conversations with [redacted] throughout the day he never told me that the price would be increased by 851.06. The transmission wasn't ready until around 5:29 p.m. which at that time he faxed a bill showing 2351.06. I Once the guys went to pick up the transmission he informed me that I wouldn't be receiving the transmission until full payment was made which at that time I had no other choice but to pay him. I asked [redacted] for his 1099 and he refused to provide his tax information he stated he needed our tax id number.Product_Or_Service: Rebuilt my transmissionOrder_Number: 14968Account_Number: 14968Desired SettlementI would like the amount of 851.06 refund because that's wasn't quoted to me for the parts and labor. I was forced to pay the price before I could receive my transmission back. I would like a 1099 also.Business Response [redacted] from quality first trucking inc. call 5/20/14 and talk to me "[redacted] she wanted to know if I had a used transmission for sale and I said yes,and I told her 1500.00 and that she needed to send in a down payment.and she did send in a payment of 532.00 by T-check on 5/20/14 but when I went to pull top off transmission I saw that it had bad gears so I called [redacted] back an told her about the transmission and that I could not sale her the transmission and that I would refound her down payment but she refused and then I asked her about her transmission and if something is wrong with her transmisson that I could fix her transmission for probably the same price that was before I saw her transmission then she sent her transmisson to my shop I tour her transmission down I found 3 bad gears,input shalf bad ,and 3 sliding clutch . with the price of the parts that I found bad I told [redacted] I probably could build her transmission around the price of the use transmission. then I found her transmission had the wrong top so I sold Ms.[redacted] a use top for 200.00 and I told Ms.[redacted] that I could take my top off her transmission and the taxes off the total that would help with the price that fit her budget but she wanted everything to stay like it was and wanted me to still hold a 1 year warranty on the transmission that is why the price is what it was there was no wrong doing on this repair, neither owe a charge Ms.[redacted] seem like she doesnt understand the price of truck parts and repairs. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I spoke with [redacted] on several different times that day and he never one mention that he had to purchase more parts to repair the transmission and the price would go up that much from what he quoted me. He stated that he would be finished at 1 p.m. and he wasn't finish until his business closing time which was 6 p.m. Which from 1pm to 6pm I had to pay people to be on standby to go pick up the transmission. He's service was poor and what he quoted and what he changed was two different prices. Not even close to the price quoted. He stated he could rebuild a transmission and sell it to me for 2300. So he used my transmission and still charge me his same price if like it was he's transmission.
