I saw this website and decided to try it by turning in my old Toshiba Satellite C650d
The website indicated I could get up to $on fair condition; the laptop was old and had trouble getting to speed but the systems all worked, even with Windows
The laptop and all accessories were all working fine minus the the screen being a little hard to open but the screen was not damaged, only the hinge
I sent it in thinking I could at least get $25-for it
I got $
No explanation, no promised gift for sending it in withing business days, no response to my email
Its a scam companySaying you can get up to $and only giving $is ridiculous

I wish I had checked Revdex.com before doing business with this company In brief, they:
Provided an initial high quote for my used ipad ($185.00)
Provided email stating reimbursement would be $after assessing the ipad
Did not respond to customer service emails
Made it extremely difficult to reach a customer service representative, e.gafter waiting minute, they need to transfer you to someone else to get reimbursement issue addressed I called days in a row before reaching the person I needed
Refused to send me back the ipad because it had been "processed" even though website says that you can cancel deal at any point you are dissatisfied
Deliberately try to make you feel like you have had a satisfactory customer experience even though they ignore your requests
THE COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM DOING BUSINESS AS CASHFORLAPTOPS

After filling out their online questionnaire in early July they said they would pay me $and $for two iphones They sent me shipping boxes and I sent them both of my iphonesOn July I received two emails, one for each phone, stating they had received the iphones and that they "will be inspected by one of our expert technicians to determine its final valueWithin the next 5-business days expect a payment confirmation email."
On August I received another two emails from them each stating "Your check has been printed and will be on its way to you in no time! Expect it to arrive in 2-business days." I did receive ONE check from them for $ So, after initially estimating my two phones to be worth $they sent me a check for $with no explanation I contacted them multiple times but never got a response

Sell your cell - is a complete fraud They offered me $for iPhone I sent my phone and they said based on the condition they could only give me $ The phone was exactly how I described it No scratches and works perfectly I looked online for reviews and most people are having the same experience Others also said they were not able to get their phone back I demanded mine and they are sending it back This company should not be allowed to be in business and operate as they do

How this company is still legally in business is beyond meI can only imagine the number of people that have made the exact same mistake as I did by falling for their scamsIf LDR does not have a multitude of lawsuits being filed against them on a daily basis, it is certainly only a matter of time! In a nutshell, my negative experience was almost identical to what every other consumer has dealt with and mentioned in their complaints or reviewsShame on ME for not doing more research and trying to see those reviews prior to sending them my devices, however, it is absolutely a lesson learned
I filled out their online form, gave them the exact condition of my iPhone 4S's, and was told I would receive a little over $for both, however, once I sent them the phones, they sent me a check for $I tried calling and emailing them to let them know I was not happy with that amount and wanted my phones back but they ignored both
DO NOT USE THIS CROOKED BUSINESS EVER!!!

This company is a joke Offered me initially $for my month old Google chromebook, then got a quote on a Fri for $through email Called on following Tuesday and they told me I Cldnt get my computer back, that I had business days to respond Reminded them sat/sun were not business days but they wld not budge Wound up offering me $had one choice but to accept since they Wldnt giv me my computer back This company is a joke and would never recommend them to my worst enemy Very unsatisfied customer

Very deceptive business
Received quote of , but received a payment of

The company offers to buy iphonesTheir online valuation of mine was $Their estimate was for a device in excellent conditionBased on my estimate the device is in excellent condition -- fully functional, no scratches, nicks, ...I shipped them the deviceThey responded via email that after inspection their estimate/offer was $without any justification for the reduction from $I called them to gain an understanding as to why the large decrease in the estimate -- they "responded" to my question with a new offer of $I refused and asked that they return the device, which they didThis is really just a bait/switch scam by the company on valuation of the electronic deviceTheir T&C's give you days to reject their offer, and if you don't, they will pay you the offered amount and keep the deviceI expect that others may miss the company's email and hence the day window, and be stuck accepting their offer which is well below market valueAvoid this company

I was quoted $150 for my iphone. It was the most money that I could get for my phone for the slightly used condition it was in. I sent in the phone per their instructions and used their provided mailing labels. They then sent me a check for $15. There was no communication regarding the price change. A check was sent without authorization of the reduction in price. Their customer service was non existent. I guess in Nevada, criminal activity is permitted without recourse.

Sent 3 items in (laptop, iphone and macbook). Got a quote for all three items, happily sent them in. THREE weeks went by, no email from Ecyclebest. They didn't answer their phone either. Two more weeks went by and the WEBSITE IS DOWN!!!! I sent three items and JUST WANT TO GET THEM BACK!!!

FROM THE START A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. A BAIT AND SWITCH OPERATION. THEY REFUSE TO ADDRESS CUSTOMERS CONCERNS AND PROBLEMS.

THE COMPANIES INTERNAL POLICIES ARE LIKE A SHIFTING SAND. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS'NT A SERVICE AT ALL - THEY ARE RUDE AND HUNG UP ON ME TWICE.

WHEN I REFUSE THEIR OFFER - THEY REFUSED TO SEND ME BACK MY PHONE WHEN I DECLINED THEIR PAYMENT

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

I had never heard of LDR LLC until fraud alert with my bank declined a suspicious charge to my banking account for $500.00+. Thank goodness they caught it. I happened to be out of town and was very inconvenienced as it was recommended that my card be shut off and replaced. From all the negative reviews, think twice about doing business with this bunch.

Unfortunately, like everyone else on this site, I found out Cashforlaptops was a scam too late. I didn't read any reviews until I had already placed my device in the mail and it was shipped off by USPS. If you're worried about not getting your device back or getting the money you want for it, please follow these steps!
1. Avoid at all costs, if you have not shipped already. Save yourself the trouble and just use another site or sell your device yourself. You'll be grateful in the end!
2. Log into their online system and keep track of updates of your device and the messages they send, as their emails sometimes go to SPAM for no reason.
Also, Newgistics is their return company and those people are TRASH! Another reason why you should avoid them! Read up on reviews of Newgistics shipping company.
3.READ READ READ their Terms & Conditions on their website. When they receive your device, you'll get an email that says Device Received, but wait until you receive the Device Inspected & Valued email. This is where they will LOWBALL the st out of you! However, in their T&C's, you MUST CALL THEM WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS! Remember this, CALL THEM, not email, CALL them to discuss the offer within FIVE (5) DAYS, actually MAKE IT FOUR (4) DAYS so they don't ignore your calls on the 5th... and this is NOT BUSINESS DAYS!
4. Once you call them, they will hassle you to let them keep the device and increase in price without any justification as to why they could not offer that price initially. This is where you can decide what is your selling threshold, do you take their increased price or not, it's up to you. HOWEVER, if you feel they are not making an effort you can DECLINE their final offer, and they MUST return your device in the same condition as sent according to their T&C's.

My Experience: I was quoted $881 for my Macbook Pro 13" Mid-2015 2.7 GHz laptop, which was a decent price. I received an offer of $136, WHAT THE H*LL!!! Thank goodness I had read previous reviews, so I knew to read their T&C's and patiently wait for my time to strike. I called them immediately the next day and the first lady already knew that I wanted to speak to the "Purchasing Department" without even asking. I was transferred to Melanie (the Purchasing Department) quickly and she tried to hassle me into keeping the device saying that is was "gently used" in certain locations. Well duh, this is what you quoted me for, a gently used device for $881. She placed me on hold for 5 minutes then came back and said "she checked other sites and their selling between $250-400, so we can offer you $450 which is a great price compared to other sites." Meanwhile, I'm on eBay seeing listings for $1200 so I know she's feeding me bull and calling it ice cream. I declined and she placed me on hold again, then came back and asked me what is my price? I told her $881, and she claims that is for new devices, sealed in the box, when their site says for used products. I told her $800 is the lowest I'll go and the highest she could do was $560. I asked for my device back and she processed my return. AGAIN, I don't see how you can go from $881 online to $136 to $450 to $560 with no justification or care. This goes to show they are truly trying to scam people out of paying their quoted offer.

I'll be getting my device back as I received the RETURN packaged email, although it was very condescending. One of the lines in the email is "You might be asking, "Will there be any further negotiations on my device?" Absolutely not! You have received our highest and best offer." Seems like they're mad they have to pay return shipping to send my laptop back to me, haha!

If you're looking for a good site to sell used laptops try using the eBay Valet program to sell it.

Summary:
This company quoted me $380 for my smartphone, then changed the quote to $56 once they received it. The phone is in like-new condition, absolutely zero damage or wear, and also functioning like-new. Definitely seems like an intentional scam. See below for full explanation.

On or about 09/02/2016 the CashForLaptops website quoted me $380 for a Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920T (64GB). I had done some shopping around prior to receiving this quote, and people were selling the same device, used, on [redacted], [redacted], etc., for $375 to $400, so the quote for CashForLaptops seemed about right. I fully expected to get as little as $300, but I decided it was worth the convenience of not dealing with [redacted] or other means of selling.

My device shipped on 09/09/2016, and according to the provided tracking information it was delivered on 09/14/2016 at 06:00PM. CashForLaptops finally emailed me to confirm receipt of the device on 09/17/2016 at 11:33AM. I felt like this was a bit slow, but not a huge deal.

On the afternoon of 09/20/2016 I received the final quote via email, which you can view at the end of this review, wherein they quoted me $56. I immediately went back on their website and selected the same device (SM-N920T), and their website still quoted me $380 !!!! I feel they're guilty of intentionally inaccurate & unethical tactics. As of this moment on 09/20/2016, this device, used, is still selling for well over $300.

By the time I get the device back the value probably will have dropped slightly, but mostly they've just wasted my time and tried my patience.

Completely unacceptable. I will never do business with this company again, and I will advise everyone I know to avoid this company as well.

I sent in my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Wednesday, January 28th 2015 to eCycleBest after being quoted $315 online. My phone was in almost mint condition-practically new(only had a couple small chips around metal framing) in which I understood that I might not get the full $315 for that reason, but expected an amount somewhere near that quote. They emailed me over a week later on Friday the 6th saying they would send me a check for $48. $48 for a phone that is selling on ebay for amounts between 250 and 400 depending on condition. I even saw one with a cracked screen that was selling for $200. The terms and conditions I read stated "You will have three (3) days to either accept or reject that new lower price. The three days begins upon inspection of your device and our emailing you notice of intended payment either pursuant to the original initial quote or such value as we determine in our sole discretion."
When I received the email with the price quote on Friday at approximately 4:33pm, I called immediately and they were closed. I sent an email right after that and received an automated email that sated their hours were Mon-Friday 7am to 4pm and Saturday 7am to 3:30pm (PST) which is the same time zone I am in. I find it odd that they sent me the email after they were closed. I also was told in the email that I would be contacted back within 48 hours and I never was. I called again on Saturday within the hours stated in the email, and the guy who answered told me the purchasing department did not open until Monday and they were the only ones who could help me. So I called again Monday morning, and I was told the purchasing department was closed for lunch-it was 10:28am my time when I first called. Lunch at 10:30? I called again an hour later and was finally transferred to the purchasing department after giving my order number and name- and at 10 minutes of waiting, an automated lady came on and said they were experiencing high volume calls and told me to call back, and then I was hung up on. I did this 3 times until I asked to speak to a manager before being transferred to purchasing department in which I waited another 10 minutes. When she answered, I told her I wanted my phone back and was not happy with the quote. She told me it had already been processed and there was nothing she could do. She told me it was automatically processed over and over. I told her I had done everything I could to contact them and that all the days I was given within my 3 days of being able to accept or reject, they were closed. If you count the fact that the company was already closed the day they emailed me with quote, and then Saturday when I called-then Monday would of been the first business day I was able to call. The lady said though that "It's not business days, just 3 days period." Even if that was the case, I still would of been within my 3 days because 72 hours from the time of the email would of been Monday at 4:33pm, and I spoke to them Monday by noon. I was practically in tears and begged her to send my phone back, and she told me it had already been processed and automated, and again there was nothing she could do for me. She offered me higher amounts for my phone that went up to $150, but I told her I still wanted my phone back, and she said that was not going to happen. I feel that I was lied to and scammed. I was not aware that if I was not happy with the quote, I would never see my phone again and they did everything to make sure that happened. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer and can't believe this is a standing business. It is now more about the integrity of this business than it is about the money. What they are doing to people is wrong. I will be seeking legal action and see if I have a case. I can see that they have done the same to so many people. I just wish I would of read the reviews prior.

This company is the worse! Please so nit send your merchandise to this rip off of a company. I was given an online quote of 190.00. Oncw the laptop finally made it into their recycle center 10 days later, my quote was reduced to 14.00.

I then called over and over day after day to speak to someone in this purchasing department to get my laptop back and was not able to get through. I spoke to several rude reps who cut me off, and transfered me without notification.

I do not know if I will ever be able to get my merchandise back but I am looking into filling legal actions.

Seems more like a scam to me. The estimated amount for my laptop model (even in a broken condition was $31). When I sent in the laptop they said it was worth $4. I realize it's an estimate and not guaranteed, but when you obtain an estimate using such criteria (e.g. broken screen), the estimate should be much closer to the actual. And, there was no explanation as to why it was much lower. To make matters worse, they said they would send payment (to PayPal) within 5 days. It's been 9 days and still no payment.

The website quoted a preliminary offer of $95 for a four-year-old, barely used HP laptop in like-new condition. I used the shipping label eCycle provided and my own box to mail them the laptop; it took 18 days for the package to arrive at their location, and the tracking number they provided was worthless... It gave no current location status or ETA, and, suspiciously, the date mailed was "unavailable." I tried emailing the company for an update and received only auto-generated replies from Brian, "Customer Service Champion," which said they do not reply to emails and to please call Customer Service. Multiple attempts to do so resulted in receiving a recorded answer and being placed on hold for an indeterminate amount of time (the longest I held on was 20 minutes); needless to say, I never reached a live person. I finally received an email stating my laptop had been received and was awaiting inspection; a week later, I received a "congratulatory" email notifying me I had been paid $14 for my laptop, which, again, had barely been used and was in excellent condition. I was NOT given the opportunity to accept or decline the offer. I have declined the payment by issuing them a PayPal refund and requesting that they return my computer immediately; I am giving them five business days to respond before I file a complaint with the Revdex.com and possibly the authorities in Nevada. IMy guess is, they are using high offers to lure people to send electronics, and mining the devices for personal data (which a good hacker can find even on wiped hard drives) to be used to commit the crime of IDENTITY THEFT. I was stupid and did not do my homework; I urge others to not make the same mistake.

This Company is a RipOFF! period, I received an Email stating that my phones had been inspected and that they would pay me pennies on the dollar compared to what was agreed to initially. This email was sent to me Saturday evening, I immediately called to ask for my phones to be sent back to me. They were closed. I sent Emails stating that I wanted my phones back. Sunday they are closed. I called Monday and was put on hold after giving my information. After holding for 10 min they hung up on me. I called back repeatedly and they did not answer the phone ( I realize now that they were screening my calls). This morning (Tuesday) I called them first thing, after holding again multiple times I was able to talk with Melanie in purchasing. She informed me that my email responses were invalid. And that the phones would not be returned to me since it had been three days. You see they counted Saturday even though they were closed at the time I received the Email. Basically they gave me two options, 1) Take the low ball offer, or 2) Take the slightly better offer that I only received after 30 min on the phone. They refused to return my phones to me. Basically they are a bait and switch company. I am no lawyer, but my wife is. We will be filing a Class Action Lawsuit against this company.

Please do not ever use this company. All you have to do is simply read the more than 800 complaints to see how bad they are.

They offer you a higher than normal amount for your used electronics (iphones, ipads, laptops, etc...)

They tell you that they will email you an offer for your item, and that if you aren't happy with their offer they will send back your item - no worries.

What they do is they never send you an email with an offer. They send you an email telling you that they received your item, and they will have a technician review it and you will hear from them in 5-6 days with an offer.

Then, 5-6 days later, you get an email saying your item was sold, and they are mailing you a check. No mention of how much. If you try very hard and have a lot of patience, you will get through to them or figure out how to log onto their website and you then realize you've been had - the original dollar offer is reduced by 80-90% - they claim your phone / laptop was in terrible shape and had all kinds of problems - most of which are not true -

when you ask for your phone/laptop back , they tell you that it already has been processed, as they claim to have sent you an email with the dollar value 3 days ago. That email was never sent by them. I received many emails from them except for the one they claim was sent with a price. Almost all 800+ complaints say the same thing.

Then you are stuck - they offer you a little more money to go away, but not nearly close to their orignial offer - they are preying on the fact that most people don't have the time or energy to fight them.

Be forewarned - these are scam artists and they will steal your devices for pennies on the dollar. If you already have been scammed, try filing a complaint with the Revdex.com -they seem to at least try and respond the these complaints - and don't accept anything less than the original offer - if you have to , take them to small claims court or get an attorney to sue them - they seem to respond to this .

Better off never using this company - use Gazelle or another more reputable company.
