In February 2019, water was leaking down through the ceiling in our bathroom during a hard rain. Searched for roofing repair company through Thumbtack and *** from Baja Roofing contacted me. *** came out the same day but charged me a $500.00 visit and inspection fee. After spending around 5 minutes on the roof, *** said he could repair the roof and leak for $*** and the $500.00 would be deducted from the total cost. After almost 2 weeks goes by and me calling *** to find out when he was going to come back and repair the roof, he finally showed up with his crew
and over the course of 2 days and 3 hours of total work, *** told me and my wife that the roof was fixed. We paid *** the $*** balance of the total cost. *** did not initially give me a receipt of payment for services rendered, I had to keep calling/texting him to provide me with a receipt. In April 2020, approximate 14 months after *** told us the roof where it was leaking into our bathroom was fixed, and during this latest storm, the bathroom is again leaking in the exact same areas where *** and Baja Roofing claimed that repaired. I am now paying a new roofing company a $*** to repair the same area of the roof that Baja Roofing said was repaired a year earlier.
Refund I would like to be refunded a $*** which is the total amount I now have to pay the new roofing company to repair the exact same area of damaged roof that I thought Baja Roofing had repaired. I do not wish to have any further repairs done by Baja Roofing because they do poor work.
During our initial consultation I made the homeowner clearly aware that his roof was in poor condition and his entire roof needed to be replaced. It was not in his budget, he was looking for a quick fix. We never provide a guarantee unless at the very least an entire roof section is replaced. However, we do honor several service callbacks at no additional charge for a period of one year. We were never contacted about any leakage after our initial repair. However, had I known the area leaked I would have attempted to complete at the very least an emergency repair. Obviously the original repair was successful as there was not a leakage problem for 14 months. This customer needs a reroof, a repair will be just another temporary fix. The customer is well aware of this fact.

We paid $*** for roof repair service, not a roof replacement. My point is that Baja Roofing failed to correctly repair the damage area of the roof where it was leaking. No warranty was ever discussed and I had ask several times for type of receipt. Baja Roofing unfairly charged me $*** for a roof repair that was poorly done. I believe that I should be reimbursed by Baja Roofing the cost of paying another company to repair the exact same damage area. That cost is $***.
Once again the service was completed as agreed upon. 1: This was a repair NOT a reroof
2: The owner was told he needs a reroof, but we would repair the area of immediate leakage, which we did.
3: We did not receive any notification of leakage after the repair was completed. This was 14 months later and we were only notified by the Revdex.com letter.
4: The customer received EXACTLY what was contracted for and obviously the repair did the temporary job the customer was informed it would be.

I do not except their explanation because they take Advantage of their customers. I will not pursue this matter any further because this Roofing company is a RIP off and will never admit that they did a poor job on repairing my roof. You can close this case. I will never recommend this company to anybody.
