I have purchased two artifacts on Ebay with Jeff Baker CoAs, one of them is a small Dalton from Arkansas, it is a no brainer AuthenticThe other one is a a Clovis from Colorado I showed the clovis to a guy I met, he's been a collecter for 25+ yearsI have only been collecting for about years, and I've never purchased arrowheads until recently Anyways he looked at the clovis, and noticed the dirt sitting ontop of the flute hingeIt's obvious that it got there from rubbing, and he said it's not Authentic, that that shouldn't be thereWell I didn't entirely believe that because it easily could have just been from me rubbing on it to feel the edge of the hinge So I took the clovis back home and looked at it more under a loupe 40xI compared it to the dalton, and a couple personal finds that have ground bases, and basals I noticed that the clovis with bakers CoA had a lot of tiny dings in the edge grinding, almost as if it was pecked dullThen I looked at personal finds, aswell as the no brainer authentic dalton and they were all rather smooth on the ground base edges At this point here I knew this Clovis with Jeff Bakers COA was a fakeThe ground base wasn't smooth like my personal findsWhen looked at under a 40x, there was a bunch of tiny chips that looked as if they were pecked thereThe Clovis is FAKEJeff Baker COA's are complete trash, and even though some of the stuff he Authenticates is Legit, I will never touch another piece with his name on it Thankfully the seller agreed to refund me Jeff Baker, I hope you're reading thisYou're a diagrace to archaeology, and your name on a piece of paper isn't worth the stamp to mail it

I am an avid artifact enthusiast who is upset over the number of so called authenticators who will paper anything sent to them to make a buckIn my years of purchasing on e-bay I have learned that you must have a very good eye to discern the legitimate from the reproductionIn the last couple of years I have observed an overwhelming number of obvious fakes being papered by Jeff Bwho obviously is only in it for the moneyE-bay is currently flooded with examples of investment grade rare types that are better than the best known examples that are selling for well below what an actual lesser example would sell forAt this moment there is one person who has examples of G-Clovis, Folsom, Dalton, etcthat are all papered by Baker on the same day on the COA and all are flawless larger than life examples of the typeAnyone who looks to invest in authentic artifacts should avoid any piece papered by this person

I have purchased two artifacts on Ebay with Jeff Baker CoAs, one of them is a small Dalton from Arkansas, it is a no brainer Authentic. The other one is a a Clovis from Colorado.

I showed the clovis to a guy I met, he's been a collecter for 25+ years. I have only been collecting for about 9 years, and I've never purchased arrowheads until recently.

Anyways he looked at the clovis, and noticed the dirt sitting ontop of the flute hinge. It's obvious that it got there from rubbing, and he said it's not Authentic, that that shouldn't be there. Well I didn't entirely believe that because it easily could have just been from me rubbing on it to feel the edge of the hinge.

So I took the clovis back home and looked at it more under a loupe 40x. I compared it to the dalton, and a couple personal finds that have ground bases, and basals.

I noticed that the clovis with bakers CoA had a lot of tiny dings in the edge grinding, almost as if it was pecked dull. Then I looked at personal finds, aswell as the no brainer authentic dalton and they were all rather smooth on the ground base edges.

At this point here I knew this Clovis with Jeff Bakers COA was a fake. The ground base wasn't smooth like my personal finds. When looked at under a 40x, there was a bunch of tiny chips that looked as if they were pecked there. The Clovis is FAKE... Jeff Baker COA's are complete trash, and even though some of the stuff he Authenticates is Legit, I will never touch another piece with his name on it.

Thankfully the seller agreed to refund me.

Jeff Baker, I hope you're reading this.. You're a diagrace to archaeology, and your name on a piece of paper isn't worth the stamp to mail it.
