I am rejecting this response because:Dr Baker's office indeed did add codes to my bill, but not once have any of the codes been preventiveI was told by Dr Baker himself that he would be putting preventive as the reason for visit like it was suppose to be and then the medical codes for his thoughtsI have talked with my insurance multiple times and they keep assuring me that there no preventive codes being billedAs for threatening calls to multiple staff members, that is very untrueI will tell you the same thing I told the police officerI talked to lady at the office and told her to send me a bill (since I had not received for almost months) but that did not mean I would be paying it right awayShe said then it will go to collectionsI once again told her to send a billI received a bill from them and days later a letter from collectionsdays with a current balance? That seams a little extremeThe resolution I was expecting was for the dr's office to make preventive (like the way a called and scheduled) the primary reason for my visitIf the error can be fixed, I will be more than happy to update my reviews to show that things were resolved and remove the bad star ratingHope to have resolved soonThank you

This man came into the office and asked for us to add a preventive code to his billWe did so, even though we told him it was likely to increase the total costSomeone from his insurance company called me and told me I did not have a preventive code on thereThe preventive code that I used was Z In the literature that I review, this is one of several preventive codes that could be usedThis code was chosen because he was here for a physical with some abnormalityHe had complaints of hypertension and fatigueThis is all documented in his chartThe main problem I believe is that his insurance has decided not to pay, and he's upsetI understand thatBut it remains a problem between him and his insurance company, not me

Dear [redacted];   I've reviewed the complaint number [redacted], and I must express that the patient involved really has nothing to complain about. He asked me to change the code on his bill, he thought if I put a preventive charge on it then everything would be paid for and he could get it free....

This isn't how he scheduled a clinic appointment, and it isn't how we proceeded. He came into my office in person and said that he had recorded the phone call where he spoke to my staff and said that he wanted a physical exam. My staff is very competent and would not mislabel a complaint that a patient scheduled a visit for.   The simple answer is that he is the insurance company has a high deductible and Limited benefits. This is regrettable, but it is an issue for him to resolve with his insurance company, not with us. It reached a point where this man was scaring my staff members on the phone. They all felt threatened when he called. He has posted on Google that I am committing malpractice. Just this statement, because it's untrue, opens him to a civil suit.   He is asking for an adjustment in his bill. I reviewed it with my coder, it is appropriate as it stands. I think he should withdraw his complaints. Get my name off the Internet.   He has been hostile to everyone in my office. It reached a point where my staff felt so threatened, we called the police. I'm concerned that this man may be unstable, and he should see the kind of professional help that I cannot give him.   To sum everything up, his claim is without merit. He is upset about the way his insurance covers his health care. Again that is regrettable, but not my problem. If you have any questions about anything I've written here please don't hesitate to to contact me.   Sincerely,    B. Baker, M.D., FAAFP

This man came into the office and asked for us to add a preventive code to his bill. We did so, even though we told him it was likely to increase the total cost. Someone from his insurance company called me and told me I did not have a preventive code on there. The preventive code that I used was Z0001.  In the literature that I review, this is one of several preventive codes that could be used. This code was chosen because he was here for a physical with some abnormality. He had complaints of hypertension and fatigue. This is all documented in his chart. The main problem I believe is that his insurance has decided not to pay, and he's upset. I understand that. But it remains a problem between him and his insurance company, not me.

I am rejecting this response because:Dr Baker's office indeed did add codes to my bill, but not once have any of the codes been preventive. I was told by Dr Baker himself that he would be putting preventive as the reason for visit like it was suppose to be and then the medical codes for his thoughts. I have talked with my insurance multiple times and they keep assuring me that there no preventive codes being billed. As for threatening calls to multiple staff members, that is very untrue. I will tell you the same thing I told the police officer. I talked to 1 lady at the office and told her to send me a bill (since I had not received 1 for almost 3 months) but that did not mean I would be paying it right away. She said then it will go to collections. I once again told her to send a bill. I received a bill from them and 11 days later a letter from collections. 11 days with a current balance? That seams a little extreme. The resolution I was expecting was for the dr's office to make preventive (like the way a called and scheduled) the primary reason for my visit. If the error can be fixed, I will be more than happy to update my reviews to show that things were resolved and remove the bad star rating. Hope to have resolved soon. Thank you
