Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:This is a PLAIN LIE!!! I have several emails back and forth for over a year after installation and before NOT ONE TIME is there anything about cutting out drywall or losing closet space As a matter of fact everything was supposed to be installed in the closet and they talked me into putting 1/the unit in the storage area which created a great deal of extra space in the utility closet THIS IS A BOLD LIE!!!! I have emails proving NOT ONE thing was said upon install or the year + following Do they have documents stating this diagnostics, suggestion and my refusal the are claiming? NO NO NO!!!! But I have emails BACK AND FORTH with them saying they would send someone out to tweak the unit up to the time they stated everything was FINE!!!! That is when I called the manufacturer and got their opinionYou can call the manufacturer and ask him if IN FRONT of ME [redacted] Owner said he suggested all the things in his reply and I refused He said that to them in private but never in front of me because he knows I would have called him out on his LIE!!!! If it was true why wouldn't he have said all that in front of the manufacture rep When I spoke to the rep he told me he only said that in private before the call at Baker Heating and Coolings officeWhen I told him that was a lie and to prove it why didn't he say anything of the such in front of me? He agreed that was suspicious!! I am appalled he believes he can send such lies in and think he will get away with thisThe manufacture has even told other HVAC companies I have had out to give me a bid that they don't know why [redacted] won't make this right and that if he doesn't it should go to court!!! That says it ALL!!!! Call [redacted] and ask them why they don't want to get involved because they know it was [redacted] ***s fault, he refuses to make it right, what he did do by installing the handler wrong and enlarging the vent in their opinion actually makes it worse and they don't want to be drug into court after speaking with the same manufactures rep I gave you the name of number of! Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because:This is a PLAIN LIE!!! I have several emails back and forth for over a year after installation and before.  NOT ONE TIME is there anything about cutting out drywall or losing closet space.  As a matter of fact everything was supposed to be installed in the closet and they talked me into putting 1/2 the unit in the storage area which created a great deal of extra space in the utility closet.  THIS IS A BOLD LIE!!!! I have emails proving NOT ONE thing was said upon install or the year + following.  Do they have documents stating this diagnostics, suggestion and my refusal the are claiming? NO NO NO!!!! But I have emails BACK AND FORTH with them saying they would send someone out to tweak the unit up to the time they stated everything was FINE!!!! That is when I called the manufacturer and got their opinion. When I told him that was a lie and to prove it why didn't he say anything of the such in front of me? He agreed that was suspicious!! I am appalled he believes he can send such lies in and think he will get away with this. The manufacture has even told other HVAC companies I have had out to give me a bid that they don't know why [redacted] won't make this right and that if he doesn't it should go to court!!! At the time of the bid process with Ms. [redacted], the existing equipment was nonfunctional except for the lower unit.A walk thru was done and we counted the returns to verify that there should be enough returns.  Without having access to the existing system, there is no way to verify that it was...

sized or installed properly. At the time of the installation of the new system, we found the return trunk had not been cut out to allow air in.  We found return air blocking between the floor joist had not been installed which meant the existing system was pulling air from the storage room.In regards to the existing return air vent in the lower level, we suspect the top plate is not cut out because it isn't drawing air.  We requested permission to cut out a portion of the ceiling and she did not want any holes in the ceiling.Upon start-up, the unit would not run in 2nd stage due to lack of airflow.  At this time, all the vents upstairs were checked with an anemometer and we found that half the returns were drawing nothing.  I suspect bottom of plates are not cut  out or not properly hooked to trunk line.Once again, we were denied approval to cut holes to investigate the situation. We then added the 8" x 30" return air grill in the lower level in the furnace room to accommodate the duct.  The duct work was addressed again and [redacted] refused because she didn't want to lose floor space in the closet to run the duct.Adding the 8" x 30" return air grill allowed the system to run at full capacity but it effects the efficiency because now it draws 60% of its air from the lower level. As far as supply ducts, there are 3, 16" x 8" connected to the plenum, however, I have no idea what the duct work is after it leaves the 3' x 5' closet.I feel [redacted]s biggest problem with the ductwork is on the return side.  70% of return air should be coming from the 1st floor.  Without cutting holes in the drywall, there is no way to ascertain the situation.  The 6" x 30" vent in the basement that was originally there, draws no air.The third time ductwork was brought up was when the Hydron representative went to the house with me to look at the system.  The returns upstairs are improperly installed and constructed.  It was a minimal cost to fix the issues if she would of allowed holes to be cut in the drywall to get to the issues when she never did.
