Response to complaint:Baker Moving did move *** ***Baker Moving was hired to pack and move as much as possible within the days hired due to the bank taking the home back by the end of the weekMovers were shown what to pack and then place the boxes into the garageMovers were
specifically given I instructions NOT to enter a room and that room was never packed nor entered by our moversDuring the move,Mrs.*** told me she would be leaving her front door unlocked during the day/night for electricians,cable companies and other people that were expecting to go to the homeEvery morning when we would arrive to the job location we would call her and let her know we were at her house and she would say the front door is open or the key is under the door matDay of the move she stated she was missing jewelry and we told her if it was anywhere near where we were packing our guys packed themShe had over boxes in her garage that were unopened. By day and she was already wanting to file a claim on her home owners insurance policy due to missing items.We told her she should go through the boxes before stating things were stolen or missing. I and other movers when back at no cost to help her sort and look for items. We can across cable equipment that needed to be returned before she was charged from the cable company. She was determined to tell her insurance that they were stolen before even looking through any boxesWe, as a moving company pride ourselves that we employ honest hard working moversWe feel that Mrs.*** is slandering our company name and we have begun to speak will put lawyer to file a lawsuit against Mrs.*** for the slander of our companyWe have spoken to her son and daughter about this situation and have been doing business with her son for over years and he is well aware theft is something we do not do and take very seriouslyI also have pictures of the home before the packing was done to show how much packing needed to be done and have also shown those pictures during our meeting with the police department when we went for the police reportDuring our meeting I told the officer that she has over boxes that she had not looked through before she filed the insurance claimWe take great responsibility knowing that people are entrusting us with thier possessions therefore we try our best to make sure every customer is satisfied with the move and all items are moved safely.
