Be very careful sending your children here.

What an awful experience with the owner. Be very careful sending your children here.

What an awful experience with the owner.

We did the full year for $400. Was so excited to have found a place since we just moved from Chicago. Our 8 year old had so much fun, loved her teacher and had a blast.

On the night of the performance I took my 3 and 5 year old to the bathroom and my little guy put his hand in the hinge of the bathroom door as it closed.. Totally normal because he is a kid. He started to scream as his hand was stuck. Screaming. I opened the door and his hand was black and blue.

Ok kids are kids. Next thing is Mr baker runs up and says can you please exit to the audience because people will start wondering what happened in the back if they here screams. I said my son is really hurt.

His next response was I cant have you here crying, it might scare people, go to the icebox in front"

Ice box? My sons fingers could be broken. He's freaking out and you are worried about your audience of 4-10 year olds.

I came back to the chair and my eyes welled up before the performance.

I had been duped. I cried as I watched my daughter have the best time and realized the man behind it all didn't care.

My 5 yr old son is screaming and he was more worried about his pocket book. His appearance, and the audience hearing my son cry. I then realized my child is in your care. You didn't care one bit that this "kid" was hurt.

It's a money thing.

After the performance we left.

I spoke to him on the phone and said "doors slam fingers, kids jump off of stuff, everything happens, I'm a mom of 3

I know." For a man that is care if 10-29 children at a time he didn't even flinch when my kids hands where purple.

He told me it is not his job to care for them and he said why would we have ice packs. My response is because it's a little boy that's been hurt and because you have fifteen 4-10 year olds that your in the care of.

Mr. Clyde baker was more worried about the audience and being sued than his own kids. Be very careful.

The worst part is I told my daughter tonight about it. What a tough lesson. She cried cause she loves her teacher and met friends, she was excited about the upcoming shows but if a child (her brother) gets hurt and you put a rug over it when I'm there, disregard it, who knows what baker studios covers when we aren't there. I failed as a mom putting my daughter here.

Review: I have repeatedly contacted the owner of this music school that is supposed to be "highly reputable", but I have found them to be simply ignorant in their refusal to help their customers. I have been overcharged for FIVE MONTHS of lessons that were never taken. I told the owner and his wife on the day I signed my son up for lessons that we only wanted to do ONE MONTH in order to see if he would succeed in the lessons. As stated, we ended up only doing one month of lessons, but I was charged for FIVE MONTHS instead of one. This amounts to $576 that the owner is refusing to refund me because he claims I never told him that I only wanted one month's worth of lessons. BEWARE of this company...they are among the most fraudulent and dishonest businesses out there and clearly don't care about anything but scamming their customers out of money.Desired Settlement: I want the charges that were incurred from April 6th, 2013 through July 26th, 2013 refunded back on the card that they were charged on originally.

Response:

Baker School of Music response:Mr. [redacted] of “[redacted].”, [redacted] has filed a complaint against “Baker School of Music” a children’s performing arts’ studio in Gilbert, AZ. Mr. [redacted] claims that he has, “…repeatedly contacted the owner of this music school”. As of today, after 5 months, Mr. [redacted] called twice in 2 days (verified by phone records) and sent an email, at the request of Mr.[redacted], owner of Baker School of Music, to forward the email that he claims to have sent that requested to withdraw his two sons from guitar classes 5 months ago. To this day, Mr. [redacted] has failed to find this email. One reason is that he never sent one. We will be glad to refund everything, if you find the original email that allegedly was sent stating the date that you wanted to cancel classes.Mr. [redacted] also claims that our studio, “…is supposed to be highly reputable”. This is correct! Presently, we have hundreds of satisfied customers/parents that attend our popular summer camps, activities and performing arts’ classes, thus giving us the title of “highly reputable” as Mr. [redacted] mentions above. In fact, all 10-weeks of our popular summer performing arts camps were sold out!! In addition, we have an “A” rating with the Revdex.com until this complaint was filed by Mr. [redacted], a parent in Gilbert, AZ. In fact, you are the FIRST AND ONLY person to complain to the Revdex.com about our business.Mr. [redacted] claims that we are, “….simply ignorant…” Mr. Baker, owner of Baker School of Music, is a graduate of [redacted]., [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] with many successful years of experience as an educator, public school administrator and college instructor. He presently volunteers on the [redacted] and enjoys working with the children and community at large. Mr. [redacted] states, “I have been overcharged for FIVE MONTHS of lessons….” Mr. [redacted] of Gilbert, Arizona filled out an online registration form at BakerSchoolofMusic.com to enroll his two sons in a Guitar class that met for once a week for only $56/per child every 4-weeks. In this case, a total of $112.00/month every 4-weeks, since he has 2 sons. On the online registration form and also on our website under policies it CLEARLY states “Cancellation Policy: If you would like to drop a class or discontinue all classes, we require a 30-Day Written Notice (delivered by either fax, email or in person by form of a written letter).”Mr. [redacted] called us to cancel after 5 months, he was upset that his assistant at his electrical company was supposed to call Baker School of Music to cancel these classes a long time ago, but she must have forgot. Regardless, Mr. [redacted] called Baker School of Music after 5 months and began to yell on the phone and demanded that we have a check in the mail immediately or else he will put this all over the internet to ruin our business. Please note: Mr. [redacted]’s credit card was charged every 4-weeks for a total of $112.00 for 5-months. After 5 months, Mr. [redacted] realized that his credit card was being charged every 4-weeks and that he wanted to stop payment and drop the guitar classes.Mr. [redacted] claims, “I told the owner and his wife on the day I signed my son up for lessons that we only wanted to do ONE MONTH…” He continues to repeatedly state, “…we ended up only doing one month of lesson….” First of all Mr. [redacted], I’m not married. In addition, not one of my staff members recalls any kind of conversations with you agreeing to only 1 month of lessons. I’m sure you know, as the owner of [redacted], that you do not go around doing business without a written contract or invoice in order to avoid disputes as you are making. In fact, how would you continue to allow a company to charge your credit card for five consecutive months without putting anything in writing to cancel or mentioning this to us after the first 30-days. Why wait 5-months?In conclusion, Mr. [redacted] has called only twice after 5 months and stated that “If we do not have a check in his hands by the end of the day, that he would put this all over the internet and ruin our business.” As far as Mr. [redacted] mission to destroy our business that caters to children by making unsubstantiated, slanderous, unsupported statements, let alone defaming statements as “BEWARE”, “Fraudulent”, “dishonest” “scamming” “ignorant”… I only have one thing to say to Mr. Petturiti, SHAME ON YOU!!!!We are proud of our accomplishments, as evident in our entire 10-week summer performing arts camps was totally sold out!! Thank you to all the parents that continue to support our business!! On a final note: Almost all performing art studios, dance studios, gymnastic studios, health fitness clubs, etc. have a 30-day written notice in order to withdrawn, regardless if you show up or not. Some parents continue to pay each month to HOLD their spot within our studio, so that they do not lose their spot, even though they may be absent, at times. In fact, I have only been at my health club one time in the past several months, but the health club continues to withdraw money from my account until I put in a written notice. I think this is fair.Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I told [redacted] of BAKER SCHOOL OF MUSIC to his face that I only wanted one month of lessons. To me, that satisfies the "verbal" cancellation policy. I clarified that I did not want any more than one month of lessons. I would never treat one of my customers like this. I go above and beyond to make sure they are happy and I feel as if [redacted] as a business owner is very unwilling to give me back my money that they did not IN ANY WAY earn. Lessons were not taken for more than one month, as stated originally from the date of signing up for the lessons from my mouth to [redacted] of BAKER SCHOOL OF MUSIC.Regards,[redacted]

Response:

Mr. [redacted] of “[redacted]”,[redacted] S[redacted] claims “he told [redacted] …..to his face… only wanted one month of lessons….that satisfies the verbal cancellation policy.” He further claims, he “…would never treat one of my customers like this.” “I go above and beyond to make sure they are happy…” Baker’s response.Mr. [redacted]’s tone of voice when he called our establishment after 5-months was very hostile, non-stop yelling and threatening. In fact, he claimed that if he did not get his check in the mail that day, he would ruin our business through the internet. We (Baker School of Music, LLC) were recently informed that Mr. [redacted] was not only contacting the Revdex.com, but another internet company called “Fraud Alert”. Mr. [redacted] is clearly on a mission for reasons; I believe to be of a personal nature. We are usually very accommodating to our customers, but Mr. [redacted] was more interested in venting and making threatening comments both verbally and in writing through this complaint through comments or actions against BSM such as, “….simply ignorant…”, yelling on the phone and “…demanded that we have a check in the mail immediately or else he will put this all over the internet to ruin our business.”, comments against BSM such as, “BEWARE”, “Fraudulent”, “dishonest” “scamming” “ignorant”. In this most recent response, he makes statements such as, “I told [redacted] of BAKER SCHOOL OF MUSIC to his face….” He regards a person as “…to his face”. You can only imagine the tone of his voice over the telephone! It’s hard to believe that this is not a pattern of Mr. [redacted], owner of TAP & SON’S ELECTRIC, INC”, [redacted]. At this point, Mr. [redacted] has already done some damages against our company and we are standing by our cancellation policy, which clearly states on the application that he filled out and on our website as follows: ““Cancellation Policy: If you would like to drop a class or discontinue all classes, we require a 30-Day Written Notice (delivered by either fax, email or in person by form of a written letter).”We will continue to defend ourselves and protect ourselves, by all remedies that we deem fit against Mr. [redacted] of “[redacted]” [redacted], on-going harassing, defaming and slanderous campaign against our company on the internet or by any means of communication, etc.Mr. [redacted]
