The company is not taking into consideration their fault in this complaintFirst, I called Baker Rental Co., LLC and one of their representatives told me that they entered my move out date as of the 15th, which is days more than a day noticeAt that time, the representative told me to just make sure I turn it in in writing as soon as I can, either at the leasing office or the main office; therefore, my complaint that the leasing agent is never onsite is valid, as their own main office representative gave me the incorrect infoSecond, if their representative in the main office would have stated that the day notice was required on the first of the month and that it had to be in writing first, I would not have a complaintI feel representatives of this company should be familiar with the rules and regulations, and their paid on-site manager should have office hoursI am still disputing the total final amount paid
After reviewing her ledger we did make a mistake on her account, the prorate she received from us should have been $660.00. The way we calculate prorate is we take the amount of rent which in this case is 825 per month divide that by 30 days we get 27.50 per day we then times that by the number of days from the notice which is 24 days . The actual amount that was charged to her ledger was $499.91 a difference of $160.09 in her favor.
