Baker Solar and Electric

My system has not been completed.

I have been a Mechanic, and Master Fabricator for 40 years. My Trade is Precision/Production Sheet Metal. However I am proficient in Plastics, Wood, and Structural Fabrication and Assembly too. My last job, (before retirement) was in the Aerospace Industry. My position varied at times, from a Hands on Engineer, to a Company Field Rep., of which the Company relied on my travels around the World to see to it that their Product, and the Customer that owned it were kept satisfied. I am therefore not easily impressed when it comes to Contractors working on my house, I can be quite "Picky".

After dealing with 3 different Contractors doing various jobs on my home, only to end up dis-satisfied with their work, you may understand my trepidation when the time came to contract with a Solar Company. By this time, and knowing how critical the Quality and Timing involved were, I decided to interview 8 different Contractors here in San Diego. I am VERY aware of "Marketing Tactic's" and spotted them often, or noticed a lack in Technical know-how when it came to answers to my questions. The first 7 failed to catch my interest before pen was put to paper. I was about to give up in frustration, when a Cousin of mine suggested that I seek out Mr. Sinuhe M[redacted], with Baker Solar Electric. He visited me a few days later, I took a liking to him right away, as he didn't try to "Plug" me with sales pitches, or pressure. He had more of a "These are the FACTS, your choice to take it or leave it" attitude, of which I for one found quite refreshing. It was like talking to a trusted Friend in the Business, instead of the average Sales Rep. After giving him my specifications as to what we needed, he went to work right away. I soon was in FULL CONTACT with the Company, Customer Service, Engineering, Scheduling etc. I always had an answer soon after any questions or concerns I had about this project. The day finally came for their Crew to arrive to do the job. They were on time, went to work immediately, never EVER asking to set foot inside our home for any reason. Andrew and his Crew worked tirelessly with just a short lunch break. They were done in 7 hours, all that time they were VERY respectful, and kept the job-site clean. I inspected their work like an Inspector would in the Aircraft Industry, and folks, I gotta tell you...I WAS VERY IMPRESSED! This Crew showed CRAFTSMANSHIP above and beyond my expectations! After they left, with exception to the new Solar System, it was like they were NEVER THERE! Not ONE LOOSE SCREW or debris was to be found.The Project was done in time to be "Grandfathered in" with SDG&E, which was critical for us, and the physical work was FLAWLESS! We were feeding The Grid 2 weeks later. I've learned how to "Read" a Company over the years in my experiences, and I've no doubt that Mr. B[redacted] runs his Company the "Old School" way, which is VERY RARE these days. His personnel are well disciplined in their various departments, and I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you check this Company out when the time comes for your Solar Project. WELL DONE! It TRULY was a pleasure doing Business with you all!

I was very pleased with the results when Baker Solar and Electric installed my residential solar system. They were very knowledgeable about all facets of the job including system design, permits, equipment choices, installation techniques and waterproofing. I always felt comfortable in their expertise and that my best interests were their priority. They were very easy to work and communicate with and made the extra effort to meet all my specific needs. The installation was completed on time as scheduled and passed all inspections on the first visit. The installation crew was well staffed and professional. The office was very forgiving when I made a payment mistake. Even after my installation was complete and fully paid, Baker continued to provide excellent service by returning to make a few adjustments and ensure that they left the job complete to their high standards. I have no doubt they will stand behind their work and guarantees. I will definitely use Baker Solar and Electric again for my electrical and solar needs and highly recommend them.

Had baker Solar and Electric for my solar panel installation and they did a great job. Communication to me on any changes/updates was immediate and they were very thorough in explaining the process and what to expect. Mara was always available, day and night with any questions that I had and returned calls very quickly. I would highly recommend them for any electrical needs.

It's been about four months since Baker Solar and Electric installed our solar panels. So far, so good! We have been very pleased with the job they did during installation.

Baker Solar bailed us out of a tough situation. We had paid 50% of our total invoice to the original solar company only to see that company go bankrupt. Fortunately, we got a call from Baker saying they would finish our job and make sure our panels were installed properly. They did the installation for the outstanding amount owed from the original invoice of the solar company that went out of business. Yes, it could have been a lot worse. Baker bailed us out and we had our panels up and running for the originally quoted amount.

Two days after their installation of the panels, we experienced torrential monsoon rains. I'm happy to report not a single drop of water came through our roof. Yeah! It appears their installation procedure was top notch. Hopefully, we will remain happy with their installation for years to come.
