regards to this visit, our records indicate that we provided service for this customer to remove and replace a faulty power steering pump which failed as a result of a leak in the supply hoses and lack of steering fluidFor these services we charged this customer a total of $715.10, which is not unreasonable for parts and laborOur records also indicated that there was a second visit on 04/06/when the customer complained of a 'knocking noise coming from the engineHowever, during this visit we explained to the customer that it would take further diagnosis because the oil level in the vehicle was very low (ie"had run dry") however, the customer did not leave the car for any service or further diagnosisWe note that in the complaint, the customer states the service was performed on 05/27/15, for a problem that occurred on 09/01/We find it difficult to understand why a customer could let a "serious problem" with their vehicle go without attention for such a long period of timeWe also note that the customer is unable to identify the repair order for the service she claims was provided as this would also contain the warranty for any work providedWe always suggest that the customer retain this document as evidence of the warranty and service history so they can provide it to any automotive service provider they useIn conclusion, we have no record of receiving $1,referred to for any repairs and see no reference to an account or order number regarding this specific complaintSincerely, Baker's Automotive and Transmission *** ***, Owner
