Review: A contract was signed with this contractor on April-24-2014 to build RETAINING WALL. As per contract CONTRACTOR was suppose to perform below line items -1. Remove existing 62 foot of stone wall.2. Remove any excess dirt.3. Dig new concrete footer 36" inches deep.4. Build rebar cage and pour concrete.5. Replace existing wall with block wall.6. Put weep holes in wall.7. Group the block wall.8. Stucco entire 62 foot wall.9. Reseed grass area.10. Replace 60foot of metal fencing.11. Remove all debris from property.Engineer drawing was obtained on May-05, which is 11 days from signing contract.Papers for permit were files on May-15, which is 10 days after obtaining engineer drawing.Today is July-16 and LINE ITEM 1,2 are not 100% complete and Line Item 3 is 60% done.It will be close to 3 months soon and even first 3 line item is not 100% completed. As per contract I am suppose to pay only 50% at signing, which comes to 2900 but contractor demanded 4000. Which I gave without asking much question.During the process of breaking wall contractor demanded additional 1000, which was against the contract stating that 4000 does not go long way.I have reached a point wherein I have asked multiple time about finish date and there is no answer from contractor. When I took BID, most of the contractor stated 2 weeks job, here I am close to 3 months and still not even 30% job complete.Desired Settlement: Most of the estimates I am getting are between 4000 and 5000 and I want my 3000 back (out of 4000 which was paid as advance).
