I ordered a sizeable amount of peppers from Bakers, and discovered on the shipping notification email that two numbers of my address had been transposedWhen I notified Baker's of this, he became beliggerent, accusing me of being the one at fault, when I verified I had, in fact, written the correct shipping addressI tried to be nice & courteous, and asked for a replacement when the box was sent back by the Post Office due to the address not existing because of Baker's error, but Baker refused, and said I needed to pay an extra $for an "at cost" replacement, and then had the gall to send a very nasty email to me when the original box came back with the peppers inside having rotted I also soon discovered other people had similar issues with himThe gentleman who loaned Baker's the money to begin the busines tried, unsuccessfully, for over two years to get Baker's to even make a single payment back on the loan, but only after making it know on a major pepper-growing forum, and after Baker's made naked threats of blackmail and holding the loan hostage, did he finally agree to pay 20% of the loan back and the rest in a monthThe month came and went, with Baker's even posting up an "ad" saying that all sales proceeds would go towards repaying the loan, essentially trying to get the other members of the forum to pay the loan for himThis resulted in him being permanently banned from the forum, as well as for his overal horrible reviews, ill treatment of customers, belligerence, and accusing others for his failure to pay back what he claimed would have amounted to less than 1% of his claimed gross sales in the two years of the loan's existence In addition, when I and several others posted reviews of our experiences with Baker's onto his Facebook page, or people would request refunds for peppers that never arrived or were shipped to them covered in mold or rotting, Baker's would become belligerent and accuse them of lying or fabricating evidence, despite the pictures they posted, then delete the post/comment and block the person who posted them, so as to maintain the illusion that he has many satisfied customersAnd beginning in June of 2015, he all but stopped shipping peppers to anyone, leading to a massive backlog of orders, orders which people paid for up-frontBy November, when it became plainly obvious no one was receiving their orders, he promptly deleted any Facebook comments of people requesting refunds Baker's also accuses anyone who is even slightly critical of him of theft, cyberstalking, refer to them "wannabe's", and that they are trying to copy his business model when nothing could be further from the truth, in a childish attitude best described as that of a schoolyard bully who wasn't getting his way Baker's is, at best, a scam artist, and between the personal loan he defaulted on, and defrauding customers of their money with no products, he should be sued and taken to the cleaners so the people he scammed can get some restitution
