July 28, 2015Hello,I am writing in response to a complaint filed by ** *** *** *** had work performed at our center as he mentioned in March of He contacted us in July of asking is he could bring his vehicle into our center to be checkedAfter bringing the vehicle to our
center on July 17th, it was determined that “internal” work would need to be performed and given that it was Friday (no work is performed on the weekend) that we would need his car until Wednesday or Thursday (July or 23rd) to complete the necessary repairs.Even though the car was out of warranty (12month/12,miles), *** *** was very indignant stating he did not want to pay for any repairs and could not leave the vehicleHe also insisted we provide him a loaner vehicle.As the owner of the center, I personally contacted *** *** the very same day of his appointment and explained to him our suppliers provide us with a year warranty on the partsOn very rare occasions a supplied part may fail and that is the reason for our warranty (best in the business)I explained to *** *** that if he wanted to pay for the parts I would cover all other costs as a compromiseIt was agreed he would return on Tuesday July 21st to have the repair completedHe did not show for that appointment.At this point the customer continues driving the vehicle and we assume doing more damage to their transmission because they are unwilling to leave the vehicleThe offer to complete repairs (with him paying the cost of parts) will stand until August 15th at which point we will offer no labor assistance with this repair.Thanks again and please feel free to call if you have any questions,Jack B

April 12, 2016Hello,I am writing in response to a complaint filed by [redacted]. First of all, we sincerely apologize for the issues [redacted] is facing. When a vehicle comes to our center for repairs there are three steps that we always follow: 1.  Road test with the customer so we can...

experience the same problem as the customer. In this case we had no nearby road where we could get the vehicle to the speeds [redacted] was experiencing an issue.  2. Computer scan: We scan all vehicles computer system so we can extract the electronic engine run ability codes. This was done in the case of [redacted] and we found the following:    - Several codes related to O2 sensors and mass air flow sensor   3. MPI (Multipoint inspection). The multipoint inspection documents the mechanical condition the vehicle is received with the engine codes. During the multipoint inspection (which is document) we found the driver's window did not operate properly. This was noted on his paperwork. [redacted] acknowledged the window did not operate but complained we had rolled it down. The technician is required to roll down the driver window when work is being performed to insure keys are not accidently locked in the vehicle.The electronic codes only tell us where to begin looking for an engine run ability problem. There is a testing flow chart that is followed during the repair and diagnosis. This is the reason [redacted] was charged for diagnostic time. This diagnostic time permits the technician to determine the cause of failure. The diagnostic fee is applied toward the final repair. In fact we discounted the final repair cost by nearly $150.00 additional due to [redacted] inconvenience.Finally, I have personally reached out to [redacted] and offered to have my Master technician personally perform any additional repairs at no cost to [redacted] will be dropping off the car this coming Friday and we are happy he has once again placed his trust in us to perform the repairs.Thanks again and please feel free to call if you have any questions.Jack B., Owner/Operator
