Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Bala Yoga failed to provide its clients proper notice of final class on the final package.? I've had yoga classes at a number of studios before and they all made sure to inform their clients that they have used up their class cards.? I don't believe this is extra burden on Bala Yoga's part as there were many opportunities to do so: - when I sign up online for the last class, Bala could easily have programmed the system to generate an auto message that says "this is your last class"; - when I checked in to the last class at the studio, the receptionist could have informed me ? Therefore, the below from Bala Yoga is NOT a fair statement "since we did not receive any sort of notice regarding your intention to cancel the pass prior to your using the final class on the first package" as it places unreasonable responsibility on the client's part to keep track of usage.? We make every effort to ensure our pricing options are as clear as possible in our literature and membership terms documents, and we're sorry you felt that the options were not clear! Below, I've captured the purchasing process for both the 10-class punch card and the 10-class auto-renew pass
through our online store, where her purchase was made on 5/18/2015:
The above screenshot shows the area of our online store in which students can purchase the 10-class punch card without the auto-renew featureThis option is found under "Pricing Options" (circled in red at the top)The plain 10-class card is circled as well, and the price on that pass is $160.
This second screenshot shows the area of our online store in which students can purchase any auto-renewing pass, including the 10-class auto-renew passAs you can see, this is in a completely different area of the online store ("Auto Pays"), which is highlighted at the top.
This last screenshot shows the purchase screen that students must view before finalizing their purchaseIn order to make the purchase, the Auto-Renew option must be selected from the drop-down menu, and the description that appears below the drop-down menu details the terms of this passThe pass automatically reloads in increments of when the previous package has been exhausted, and the pass may be canceled at any time with days' notice. Since we did not receive any sort of notice regarding your intention to cancel the pass prior to your using the final class on the first package, the package automatically renewed per the terms outlined above.In consideration of the above, we are not able to issue a refund for the renewal charge as requestedWe can absolutely cancel the pass going forward - all we need is written notice of the cancellation request, which can be done via email. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and appreciate your understanding
