Review: The tire machine I bought from [redacted] at Balanced Automotive is not working and hasn't worked correctly since I purchased on 9/26/15. I also bought a tire balancer that had issues as well. [redacted] came to my shop after the motor failed on the tire balancer shortly after I arrived with it and began to use it. I let him know the balancer had an issue too, he also looked at it and found a faulty circuit board. The circuit board for the balancer was ordered and I replaced. The balancer is working fine now.
The tire machine worked after he replaced the motor and shortly thereafter started having a different problem with the air valve that locks the rim onto the tire machine for tire mounting and dismounting. Basically the machine is worthless in this condition. I contacted [redacted], he had me send a picture of the valve to identify the part. He said he would order it. I've heard nothing since then. I've made countless calls to this business.
The business was responsive in ordering a new motor and coming onsite to exchange. The motor belt is now slipping so the turntable works occasionally but the bigger issue now is the air valve. The lady that answers the calls is pleasant and mostly helpful but lately no one is answering the calls. I'm leaving messages frequently but have not had a call back in quite some time.
I'm losing customers and cannot work on my own restorations that require tire service with the tire machine in this state. Also, I've worked with [redacted] to install parts such as the circuit board in the balancer to save him the trip of coming to Iowa. I also offered to change out the air valve on the tire machine. What I need is the valve. I have no idea or access to order a valve to fix this.
Short of driving from Des Moines Iowa area to his business address in Wisconsin, I have done what I can to resolve this.Desired Settlement: Order in a new air valve, install and resolve the problem. I understand this was used equipment but this tire machine has had problems since bringing it home. I would be interested in installing the valve if they would send me a new one to help move this forward.
