[redacted],   As I have indicated to you during your last visit to Quest Jewelers on April 16, 2016, the damages to your diamond are as a result of wear and tear.  Attached are findings by an expert Graduate Gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America, [redacted], which confirm...

that the “minor nicks and chips” on the girdle of your stone are “due to what is typical of long term wear.”    Quest Jewelers could not have create these “nicks and chips” while your diamond was displayed in our showcase.  If there were any damages caused to your diamond during the setting stage, as which you have accused us of, the damages would have occurred in the 4 corners of your stone.  Clearly, there is no damage in the 4 corners of your diamond.  Your diamond was examined loose by [redacted], out of the mounting, and the findings show that there are “no setter-induced damages” to your diamond.    Your accusations of Quest Jewelers of any wrong doing are false and baseless. That said, please pick up your diamond within 2 weeks of this notice.  Please schedule an appointment for when you arrive to pick up your diamond.  Should you decide not to pick up your diamond, we will no longer be responsible after May 11, 2016.  This concludes any further business between you and Quest Jewelers.   Pete T[redacted]  Tell us why here...
