Review: On 12/10/12Baldwin Auto service installed a power steering hose on my [redacted]. We supplied the hose to them, and they were to replace the old hose with the new one. On Jan. 8, 2014 on the way to work, the hose developed a whole and I lost all power steering fluid. After looking at the hose to determine the problem, I discovered that the hose had not been replaced at all. Instead of replacing the old hose with the new one, they spliced the old one and inserted a new "piece" of hose and clamped the ends with oversized hose clamps. Due to the bad repair of the hose, and the subsequent loss of power steering fluid, my power steering pump now needs to be replaced. When I went by the business and spoke to [redacted] he told me that it was my fault because I supplied the hose. He informed me that it was done "right". If there was something wrong with the hose I supplied them, they should have notified me, and I would have either obtained the correct hose, or told them to do so.Desired Settlement: I would like them to replace the hose as they were supposed to do originally. And since the bad repair is the reason my power steering pump is now bad, I would like them to replace that as well.

Spoke to [redacted] from the business. He does want to resolve this issue with this customer. The car owner was upset with the work done and said that a part he brought to the business was not put in the vehicle correctly. However, when the customer tried to explain why he was unhappy with the work done it was unclear. He accused the business of not putting in the part or of splicing a part into the vehicle. [redacted] said that he is more than willing to have the customer provide the power steeling pump and that the business will put it in free of labor charges.
