To whom it may concern: I would like to address the complaint filed by Rosemary Feeney on 8/*/Her Statement includes allegation and implies that we did not comply with “Dental Practices”*** *** was very pleased with the result of the Implant procedure we preformed for
her.We never told *** *** that her insurance companies would always cover her dental costsMost Insurance Companies have different fee schedules for different proceduresSome procedures are not coveredIn the past she has been billed the difference and she has always paid them with out any arguments..*** *** stated that predetermination is the responsibility of the dental officeIt is not the office's responsibility to predetermine all the procedures that are preformed at the officeIf a patient is concerned about fees we will gladly do the necessary paper work at no cost to get the appropriate informationShe never requested anything at all.It states on the explanation of benefits from her insurance company the she should “Please contact the Dentist to determine your patient responsibility”On the health history which *** *** signed it states that “I understand that I am responsible for all cost of Dental Treatment”At no time were charges to the Insurance Company, different from the charges due to *** ***.The total cost of the procedure was not covered by her plansCharges to *** *** and Insurance were the sameTotal bill was $of which her Insurance's paid $her balance was $and that is what we billed her forThe amounts that insurance paid did not cover the laboratory fees and associated cost to do this procedure.Sincerely,Baldwin Dental Arts

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# 11602377, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:  I HAVE NEVER PAID OUT OF POCKET FOR SERVICES FROM THIS PRACTICE. THEY HAVE ALWAYS ACCEPTED THE INSURANCE CLAIM WITH NO EXTRA COST. I AM STILL DISPUTING THESE CHARGES. AT NO TIME WAS I GIVEN AN ESTIMATE FOR SERVICES AND TOLD THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!
I am disputing the charges of $1,040.00 for services received for a Dental Implant Crown from Baldwin Dental Arts PLLC. When the appointment was scheduled I specifically advised Baldwin Dental Arts that I had just had the Implant surgery completed with my Periodontist and I was now in need of a crown. At NO time, was I advised that a pre-authorization would be needed which is their responsibility. Nor was I ever given an estimate for the cost of the Implant Crown. In the past this Dental practice had ALWAYS accepted my Insurance Coverage with no out of pocket costs. May, 2016 I received a bill from the Dentist for $1739.00. This should have all gone through my insurance. I called the Dental Office and explained to them. I also called my Insurance company, only to be told that the Dental Office submitted a claim for the WRONG tooth #22. My Insurance advised me to tell the Dental Office to resubmit with tooth #21. July, 2016 I received a new bill in the amount of $1,040.00. After reviewing the claim that Baldwin Dental Arts PLLC I noticed that they charged my Insurance company $1800.00. My Insurance (Daniel Cook) paid $475.00 and my Husbands Insurance (Guardian) Paid $224.00.*The Dental Office Did NOT Follow Proper Procedure to Get Pre-Authorization.*New Person In Billing is now Holding me Responsible for their Error*NO Estimate given for services.*Different Charges to me and the Insurance Company*Baldwin Dental Arts PLLC represented themselves that they accepted my insurance as in the past. And then submitted the claim out of Network.
