The team in question (AZ Flames) are an independent youth football organization. They play in many leagues and tournaments and are not just an "NYS" team. It saddens me to hear that the customer is out the funds that they paid directly to the AZ Flames and the store in which they purchased their...

equipment. These are items that NYS does not provide for our tackle football league nor is it a part of the NYS registration fee. As this customer stated, NYS refunded her registration fee upon request. Since the additional funds paid were not paid to NYS, there is nothing I can do about getting them a refund. They would need to file a claim with the AZ Flames and the store they purchased the equipment from directly. What I can offer, as a show of good faith, is a free NYS season if they choose to try and sign up and play again.
