DO NOT GO TO BALL KIA'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ANY REASON! My husband and I bought a 2015 Kia Soul from this dealer with no issues. However, our experience with their service department has been quite the opposite. The service representatives/manager are condescending, rude and incompetent. If you are a women, question everything, they think we are stupid! They tried to tell me my daughters car needed a $350 battery when AAA replaced it for $120. A "misunderstanding" was the excuse. How could it be a misunderstanding? Does Ball Kia not know what kind of battery goes in it's own vehicles? A few months later I took the car in for what I thought was a covered warranty item. Had to take the car in 2x because they said nothing was wrong when clearly there was something wrong. Cars do not shake and shimmy when running normally. On the second visit, they tried to tell say that the car needed a new clutch at $1300 when in fact it needed new engine mounts (covered by the warranty I might add). Only found this out when I refused the service and took it to my regular mechanic for verification. When I confronted the service manager, I was met with the same arrogant attitude that I experienced the first time. Prior to these two incidences, the car had an air conditioning issue. The car was not very old yet they said it was not covered by the warranty. I did not feel as if they were being honest, so I ended up taking it to another dealership Funny how the Chula Vista Kia on Main St. fixed it with no questions asked and no $ required. 100% covered by the warranty. I gave them the benefit of the doubt 3x because they are the most convenient to where I live. No more! I would rather drive 20 miles and get honest, courteous service!

Thank you for this information. I investigated this situation. Mr*** brought his car into our service department and there is a diagnostic charge for every complaint a customer would like inspected unless the technician cannot duplicate the complaint. It is made clear that
the diagnostic fee is not charged if the customer chooses to have the repair done. If the customer declines the repair then a diagnostic charge is assessed to pay the technician for his time. Currently the customer is receiving 50% off the diagnostic charge. I am willing to cut down the diagnostic charge for the complaint: 4WS light stays on from hours to hour lowering the price from $to $52.50. The total charge for the diagnostics is now $which has been decreased from $155. Sincerely,*** ***General Manager Ph:*** *** ***Fax: ***

Review: When I initially getting my vehicle I was hard sold to try and get all optional protections. When I stated I did not wanted I was told "what did you not understand?" Sales practices where not acceptable. On that initial contract I had agreed to GAP protection but not the extended insurance plan. A month later I was told I needed to come in and sign the finalized contract. I was told everything stayed the same and that the plans where now included. I signed believing what I was told. When I got home I realize that I was charged an extra $2000 for an optional warranty that I neither wanted nor would have any benefit from. I was even told by the sales man while purchasing that I needed no extra plan because the included warranty from Kia had sufficient coverage.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for this extra warranty with no penalty or fees.

Review: I brought my car to Ball Mitsubishi for diagnosis and service to a 1994 sports car in January. I authorized only 2 of the items identified were authorized for repair and complete due to the 5 months delays. In order to get the service station to respond, I contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair. I was surprised to learn that in spite of the extended delays and the past service manager indicating that the diagnosis costs would be "rolled in the costs of the authorized repairs", Ball Mitsubishi still is charging the $165 diagnostic costs after the many months of being inconvenienced by not having the car.Desired Settlement: Remove the diagnostic charges from the bill. The extended delays are inexcusable and unprofessional.
