Below I have copied and pasted an email conversation I have been having with Mr*** in an attempt to resolve this situationPlease note that there was a phone conversation on Friday 4/11/in which I explained to Mr*** that a mis diagnosis in this business is common
place, he was not charged for the pounds of refrigerant that was added to his unit on 4/and that we were willing to apply his original invoice amount of $towards the purchase of new equipment
Mr*** simply stated that he "no longer wanted to do business with us" and I assumed this matter was closed

Mr***,
After our conversation on Friday I requested that if you had any further questions or comments if you would please refer those comments to me, I had assumed this situation was put to rest, apparently I was mista***.After we spoke you sent an email to our office manager (attached below) that I would like to address. The repairs done in March were done with your consent and in an attempt to help your very old unit function better. The contactor was bad and did need to be replaced, this was a symptom of a larger problem that the technician at the time did not diagnoseI would li*** this to taking cough medicine for a nagging cough only to find out later you have bronchitis. So when our technician *** came back out this week he did a much more in depth inspection of your unit and found the crack on the coil. Much like if your general physician sent you to a specialist that diagnosed the bronchitisIn that case the specialist would still require payment for his services correct? We however did not charge you for our service and in fact recharged your unit at no cost to you, we added pounds of R-refrigerant @ $per pound for a total of $plus tax
I guarantee you that the Revdex.com and the *** would agree with us that the repairs we did in March did not cause the damage to your unit in April and that we simply didn't catch it in MarchIn our business this is common place that one technician may miss something that another technician will find later.I do want to resolve this and I am willing to do one of two things. I am willing to refund you the difference of $which is the difference between the visit in March and the visit in April, or I am willing to put your March payment of $towards the purchase of new equipment in an attempt to keep your businessPlease let me know which option is best for you and I will get it ta*** care of this week
I will once again request that if you have any other questions or comments about this to please address me personally, you have my personal email and my personal cell phone number from our conversation on Friday
Please be advised that I will be addressing this issue with the Revdex.com on Monday in which I may attach this email or any other correspondence to show that I have in fact contacted you in an effort to resolve this matter
Thank you for your patronage,

Dear Brad,
Thanks for your emailHere is my take and some questions
On March 14, my wife who is in New York, received a call from a Arizona mobile phone (I don't believe this is a Ballard number-wouldn't protocol dictate that the solicitation call for service come directly from Ballard and then be assigned to a contractor?)
The caller was asking us to schedule service on the our A/C unitsMy wife referred the caller to my number here in AZOn Monday, March 17, I received a call from that number to schedule an appointmentIt was set for the afternoon of March
The annual servicing was not performed adequately or the tech would have recommended adding freon at that timeWhat the tech did was convince me (not that hard since I'm not conversant on the topic of air handlers and condensers) that we needed $of repair work
I learned last week from your tech that the man who did the work (I assume is his cell phone) was "bad" and has been firedOn the same day I learned from *** in your office that there is legal action either pending or planned against this former employee/contractor(She asked me to write a letter detailing my experience in support of your case) So it seems that our experience goes beyond incompetence and possibly into the area of deceit or fraudAbsent other information, I must question whether the $of work was even necessaryBy the way, no one is answering the mobile phone number
As you can understand, I'm reluctant to accept any offer until I know more
Is Ballard sure that the work was done on March actually necessary? Was Ballard aware that a service appointment was made or was this employee/contractor acting independently, but under your name? What is the nature of your legal action against this employee/contractor?Did other Ballard customers have the same unfortunate experience as I did or was it an isolated incident?
I do appreciate your offer to settle, but until I know more, it would be premature to acceptLet's wait until the Revdex.com investigation is complete, and then we can decide what the best course of action is to resolve this matter

Mr and Mrs ***,
Thank you for getting back to me and I will address your concerns one at a time
A representative from our company, with our full consent called you to remind you that it was time to do your semi annual check upHe did so from one if our company phones, possibly a cell phone but he did not save or store any of your personal information in it.The contactor that was replaced was done so because upon visual inspection it was clearly faultyUnfortunately the technician did not take time to find out why it was faulty and simply replaced the part.I want to assure you that we are taking no legal action against anyone and it is unclear why April would have told you that we wouldThere is no legal recourse that any contractor can take against any employee for not properly diagnosing a system failureYour repairs were done with the intention that your system operation would improve and nothing was sold to you that we would not have recommended to anyone else. I also want you to know that yours was an isolated incident, as for the reasons we let that specific technician go that is best kept in house, but I can say that we here at Ballard would never compromise our integrity for a few hundred dollars.I will respect your decision to wait to see what happens with the Revdex.com

This company has been calling us for years even though we have never done business with them Each time we tell them we are on the Federal Do Not Call list and ask to be removed from their list Each time they say we will be removed Then we get called again later the same month or year and repeat this process over Of course that is assuming there is actually a person on the other end of the line when you answer They use some robo caller to place the callsThey called today of course So I have submitted a complaint to the FTC I encourage all who read this to do the same and leave a negative review here as well How could one trust a company that blatantly ignores the Federal Do Not Call list, especially when they are told point blank that a number they have called is on it and are asked to have it removed

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
Regards,

This company has been calling our home phone (which is on the National Do Not Call Registry) weekly for the last month, between end of March 2015 to mid-April 2015. Calls come from [redacted] (shown as their FAX number?). I see they are now under new management, so perhaps that explains why they are ignoring our request from Sept 2014 NOT TO CALL. Today I picked up and there was silence on the other end of the phone. Aggravating and unwanted! Would never do business with this company due to their disregard of the National Registry.
IRONY: As I was typing this complaint... they called AGAIN! Twice today! Picked up the phone and no one answered. Make it stop!

I had won a 3 yr free service agreement at the [redacted] and on May 8th, 2015 the service tech came out to service our unit. He told me that I needed about $300.00 worth of repairs. This unit was not even 2 yrs old. He said I definitely needed to change out a capacitor while the other repairs could probably wait. I took his word for it. He charge me $164.00 for a "Free Service" and a capacitor change out which the wires were on slide on lugs. I told him I wanted the defective part. When I reminded him about the part he piddle around his truck cabinets looking for a part to give me. The part he gave me looked new with no slide on lug wear. Since then I have had many phone calls about servicing our unit. I told the man that called about the repair story & that I didn't trust them. I continue to get calls after I told them not to call anymore. I got shafted for $164.00 and they want more of my money. Don't use this AC Service & Repair company.

This company has been calling us for years even though we have never done business with them. Each time we tell them we are on the Federal Do Not Call list and ask to be removed from their list. Each time they say we will be removed. Then we get called again later the same month or year and repeat this process over. Of course that is assuming there is actually a person on the other end of the line when you answer. They use some robo caller to place the calls. They called today of course. So I have submitted a complaint to the FTC. I encourage all who read this to do the same and leave a negative review here as well. How could one trust a company that blatantly ignores the Federal Do Not Call list, especially when they are told point blank that a number they have called is on it and are asked to have it removed.

Dear Brad,

Thanks for your email. Here is my take and some questions.

On March 14, my wife who is in New York, received a call from a Arizona mobile phone 480 359 4312. (I don't believe this is a Ballard number-wouldn't protocol dictate that the solicitation call for service come directly from Ballard and then be assigned to a contractor?)

The caller was asking us to schedule service on the our A/C units. My wife referred the caller to my number here in AZ. On Monday, March 17, I received a call from that number to schedule an appointment. It was set for  the afternoon of March 21.

The annual servicing was not performed adequately or the tech would have recommended adding freon at that time. What the tech did was convince me (not that hard since I'm not conversant on the topic of air handlers and condensers) that we needed $700 of repair work.

I learned last week from your tech that the man who did the work (I assume 480 359 4312  is his cell phone) was "bad" and has been fired. On the same day I learned from [redacted] in your office that there is legal action either pending or planned against this former employee/contractor. (She asked me to write a letter detailing my experience in support of your case) So it seems that our experience goes beyond incompetence and possibly into the area of deceit or fraud. Absent other information, I must question whether the $700 of work  was even  necessary. By the way, no one is answering the mobile phone number.

As you can understand, I'm reluctant to accept any offer until I know more.

1. Is Ballard sure that the work was done on March 21 actually necessary?2. Was Ballard aware that a service appointment was made or was this employee/contractor acting independently, but under your name?2. What is the nature of your legal action against this employee/contractor?3. Did other Ballard customers have the same unfortunate experience as I did or was it an isolated incident?

I do appreciate your offer to settle, but until I know more, it would be premature to accept. Let's wait until the Revdex.com investigation is complete, and then we can decide what the best course of action is to resolve this matter.

Review: Ballard A/C in Glendale, AZ contacted me for annual servicing of our A/C units. Their tech came to the house, inspected the A/C units and said we needed $700 of repairs. He said he took care of everything else. I agreed to the price for the work plus a three year service agreement for $330. 2-3 weeks later ( April 10) the upstairs A/C wasn't working properly. A Ballard tech came out (April 11) and told me that the original tech from Ballard was no good and has been fired and by the way we need 7 pounds of freon, which should have been done during the previous"service call".

I called the office to complain and the woman I spoke to the Ballard tech had purposely deceived me and, apparently other customers, that he had committed fraud and there was going to be a legal actionDesired Settlement: I expect to have my $700 refunded, since the required work was not necessary and the required servicing was not done.

I had been told by a larger firm my unit would require a very extensive repair and called these guys after a friend suggested a second opinion. A few hundred dollars later everything was working fine again. They were honest, service man was not pushy at all.
