Ballet Coeur d'Alene Reviews (3)

Our policy is clearly outlined.  [redacted]
[redacted]TUITION POLICYTuition, performance fees, and deposits for class reservation are non-refundable. Please note that Ballet CdA tuition is session based (not per class or...

per month) and when registering your student you are committing to the end of the session. If your student wishes to terminate their training mid session, there is a cancellation fee equal to one months tuition. Tuition may be paid monthly by the 1st. A $10.00 late fee will be  assessed after the10th. If tuition is more than 15 days late, the student will not be allowed to attend classes until the account is paid up to date. If tuition is over 30 days late, the bill will be sent to collection agency to collect. The session may be paid in full for a 5% discount. Sibling discounts (5%) apply to EACH students tuition.  PROMPTNESS & ATTENDANCEOur Studio takes its training responsibility to each student very seriously. The opening exercise is designed to prepare the young dancer physically and mentally for the rest of the class. Children who arrive late miss the first exercise and disrupt the class focus. For this reason tardy students will not be allowed to enter the classroom after the class has begun. If a student arrives late they should first check in with the front desk and/or stand at the door to the class or at the edge of the dance floor and wait for the instructor to speak to them. It is up the to instructor whether or not to allow the student to participate if they are late. The studio reserves the right to have students who come late, sit out and watch class. A make-up class may be arranged for that child. We understand that running late is sometimes unavoidable, however, if it becomes an ongoing occurrence, you might consider transferring to another day and/or time. If you are late to class DO NOT JOIN THE CLASS without direct permission from your instructor. WAIT until called in or onto the floor.MISSED CLASSES & MAKE-UPSAttendance is extremely important. Students who regularly miss classes don’t have the opportunity for the level of growth that consistent training stimulates. For this reason, we encourage students to make up classes that they have missed. If a student cannot take the required number of mandatory classes for their level, they will be moved down to the previous level at the teacher and directors discretion.  The student will be able to take make up classes or privates to "catch up" tuition includes make up classes.  If student pays per class, make up classes are at the drop in rate.  Please discuss make-ups with the instructor.   PROMPTNESS & ATTENDANCEOur Studio takes its training responsibility to each student very seriously. This will open a whole new world not only for your child but for yourself as well. Also, always explain to your child to be as open as possible to corrections when taking class. They should have a clear understanding of their corrections so they can apply their correction. Applying corrections is one of the quickest ways to gain a level. We do NOT encourage parents “coaching” their students at home. Students always progress quickly and correctly when working in the classroom with a qualified and experienced professional. We do urge all of our students to stretch at home.

The studio policy is clear. The performance deposit is forfeited upon early departure of the school or session or with drawl from the performance. I was bullied by this family while pregnant and continue to be bullied over something as silly as her daughter being cast as a "cookie" instead of a "party girl".  I am still unwilling to be bullied into straying from a national standard policy.  I offered a solution to which they rejected. I cannot continue to go back and forth about this;  there just isn't an argument.

Revdex.com,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted]'s response had many imputations towards my daughter and I which had nothing to do with the fact that her husband verbally told me on several accounts that I would definitely get my refund of $125.00 back.  We had this conversation on Jan. 2, 2015.  He was apologetic and very nice.  He was sorry to hear that we would be leaving.   The recital fee was for the recital called Alice in Wonderland that the school was suppose to preform this in May at NIC.  On Dec. 6th of 2014, [redacted] announce that the school would probably not be doing that recital and we would get of our refund back. She announced this to all the parents  at a rehearsal (for the Nutcracker)  at the studio.   They currently are not doing the Alice in Wonderland recital at NIC therefore I should receive my refund back.  [redacted] has texted other parents stating that they would be getting their refund back; hence, I should also be entitled to my refund.     [redacted] left at the end of the fall session.   [redacted] mentions that [redacted] missed classes and that private classes do not count; however her policy manual clearly states that privates do count.  Again [redacted] and [redacted]  ([redacted]'s actual teacher) verbally agreed the privates lessons would count for her missed days.  Look under her email back under "Missed Classes and Make-Up.  I mention this only to show [redacted]'s  lack of credibility.  I only texted once about the recital fee.  That is not harassment.  She stated that she was 9 months pregnant.  The text I sent was in Jan.  She had her baby in mid- March.  So she was like only 7 month pregnant,  Which has nothing to do with my refund.  I only mention this so show her lack of credibility again.   She is very upset that my daughter and numerous other dancers left her studio so she is trying to come up lots of excuses to not give us a refund.  When [redacted] responded about passed summer classes I was puzzled.  [redacted] was never enrolled in the summer session so I have not idea why she is brought that up.  I did not write a complaint about a "Nutcracker" Part or about my daughter not moving up so bringing those grievances has nothing to do with my claim. My complaint was about a recital fee I paid that I was told I would get back.   We paid a  fee of $125.00 for a recital that was never performed.  [redacted]'s husband, agreed to give me my refund.   I have not received it yet.
Regards,
[redacted]
