Review: [redacted]
Total Rewards [redacted] Oct 9th, 2014
I saved up over 10,000 Rewards Credits so I could use them for my 76 year old mother - when I pulled up Comp Kiosk screen it said I had $50 in free gambling so I took advantage to help my mom. No where on the screen does it say anything else or anything about limitations on the kiosk screen in Bally's Atlantic City. Turns out they were coupons that couldn't be cashed out once they were in the machine. It may have been in lawyer jargon on the ticket but it was never stated on the Bally's Kiosk comp screen when I used my 10,000 Rewards Credits to get a ticket to get the gambling credits.. I was ripped off by Bally's after being such a good customer.Desired Settlement: Bally's needs to tell the customers that its not actually free gambling credits at the Bally's Kiosk where you get them. There just lying to people. Free gambling credits you can cash out at any time. Not just the winnings. I deserve my money back. It took awhile to get that many credits.
Review: On August 24th at approximately 4:05 pm I arrived at Bally's in Atlantic City. The room I was staying in was under my grandmother's name who was arriving within the next hour, but we were told the hotel would hold our bags. The bellman confirmed that he would check the bags until we checked in. He gave us a bag ticket and a valet ticket, and asked for my last name. At around 5:30 pm we were going to check in when the hotel told us they had booked our room for another weekend, which was a lie. After confusion and frustration the hotel finally gave us our two rooms. At about 10:00pm I finally settled in the room and called for my bags. The bellman on the phone asked for the ticket number and said OK. 15 minutes later he called back and asked me to come downstairs to verify the bags. The bags were NO WHERE to be found. We looked everywhere and he allowed us in the back where all the luggage is stored. After a few hours of frustration - I tried to file a police report but the police said there was nothing they could do because nothing was stolen with a serial number or insurance. The security of the hotel insisted he would watch the surveillance and investigate and I should contact risk management. I have followed up on this "investigation" and they will not tell me ANYTHING. Risk Management has done nothing but tell me the matter is still under "investigation" and that insurance would contact me about reinbursement. Insurance called me today and told me they typically only offer 100$ for lost bags. This is infuriating because I checked my bags in the confidence of the hotel and its employees that my bags would not be stolen. This is extremely unfair.Desired Settlement: My bag and my boyfriend's bag contained A LOT of valuable items! My make-up bag alone values at at least $600 considering I brought every piece of make-up that I owned. Inside of that makeup bag was a [redacted] watch and a [redacted] necklace! I also lost brand-new clothing, three pairs of expensive shoes, as well as a [redacted] small purse! My boyfriends bag had [redacted] jeans, two [redacted] belts, and an expensive pair of [redacted] sneakers. You can only imagine how infuritating it is that the hotel will only offer 100$ each for each of the bags. I am prepared to provide receipts of my lost goods, but I expect more than 100$ for THEIR INCONVIENCE they caused US!
Review: Good Morning, my name is [redacted]., I am a licensed funeral director in New Jersey and on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at approximately 2:30p.m. I checked into Bally’s at Atlantic City for the NJ State Funeral Directors Convention. I was assigned room #[redacted] in the Dennis Tower.
Upon checking into the room I was putting away all of my belongings that I needed and I placed my keys and a long roll up travel jewelry case in the night stand drawer underneath the phone. The case contained mostly costume jewelry however also my deceased grandmother’s small gold chain with a small crucifix on it that was a family heirloom over 75 years old. This is the MOST IMPORTANT piece in the whole travel case. I was and still am completely devastated without it!!
As soon as I realized that my belongings were left behind I began calling the hotel immediately. The first woman at the front desk told me that there was absolutely nothing they could do until the person that had immediately checked in the room after me, was checked out! I found this to be absurd because this wouldn’t be until Saturday October 4th! ALL I wanted was for them to contact the room, leave a note, call the head of housekeeping to ask about the “strict checklist they follow” when cleaning the room in between guests. (Hotel manager told me that checking the drawers is top on the list).
I continued to beg the woman to transfer me to someone that could help me! I was transferred, disconnected, left on hold, etc… Finally I got through to the hotel supervisor [redacted] . [redacted] was very helpful but by the time we actually got to speak it was already Friday morning just about 9am and he claimed that he will check a few departments and assured me that he would bend the rules and contact the new guest that was checked in the room. No real further action was taken. I was ridiculed by security and no customer service what so ever!Desired Settlement: I have called numerous times to check the status of the customer satisfaction and internal investigation and I have heard nothing. Right now I am mentally drained from this entire situation and would like to file a complaint with Atlantic City. The situation should've been addressed immediately by hotel staff. An incident report should’ve been filed immediately the first manager spoke with me, when I realize I left my belongings in the hotel room.
