I had storm windows and shutters installedThe windows are more expensive than other brands, but they appear to be much more sturdy and are a good productBe prepared to wait a very long time as the factory manufactures your windowsThe products are fine, it's the mangament of the company that is the problem The window intallers did a good jobThey were fast, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves The shutters were another storyThere were numerous visits from workers because the shutters were the wrong size I specifically asked that the shutters be installed with the locks in a certain position which they failed to do, necessitating more visits from installers I originally ordered single side slider windows, based on price, but decided to pay the higher price for double slidersBefore the city inspection, I received a call from Storm Tight informing me that the double sliders did not meet the code requirement for size of egress for three bedrooms, and that they would have to be replaced with the lower cost single slidersSo I waited and waited while the new windows were manufacturedWhen it came time for the installation, the date was changed numerous times as the company put other more lucrative jobs ahead of mineI finally had to get nasty and aggressive to get my job scheduled I waited over a month for Storm Tight to schedule an inspectionWhen I decided to take the initative, I had to call the company numerous times trying to get an inspection scheduledHad I not initiated the process, Storm Tight would never have scheduled an inspectionThe city failed to send an inspector the day of the inspection, and true to form, Storm Tight didn't bother to schedule another oneI had to call and call to speak to someoneThe building permit was issued 10/30/2014, today is 4/8/2015, and there is still no final inspection scheduled I have lost track of how long I was on hold listening to the same music over and over againI would wager that all together, it has to be hours The upshot of all of this is that I have a complaint filed with the State of Florida, and a small claims court lawsuit pending The problem lies with the incompetence, and don't care attitude of the mangement teamIf weren't for them, I would recommend this product, but the aggravation of dealing with these people outweighs the quality of their productI would rate this the second worst experience I have had with contractors

They wouldn't cancel our contract without a fee of $3,Since we then proceeded with them, it took them over a year to install my windows (and the ghetto people they had in my house was horrible!) One window wasn't even cut to size (helloyou have over a year to measure the window!) Then when they came out to fix the window (months later) they brought the wrong window, then another months later the window get puts in and it is CRACKED! Then another few months later the window finally gets put inAnd of course at no speed on their own, I had to call multiple times and complain to have them moveThen the inspection....FAILED...didn't use enough nailsNow we wait another few monthsFinally the windows are installedIn the process they fired multiple people from their companyall who have worked on my windowsNow the MG at the company says he will send us a check for $500, well months later (when we were told 2-weeks) we call again...guess what, now the MG *** has been firedI am so upset and dissatisfied with this company that I hope no one uses them, and they go out of business

My wife and I contracted with Storm Tight Windows after looking at several companies..We decided to go with this company because they made their own windows and the strong warranty packageThis was a large job windows and very large foot patio doorsThe crew did an excellent job and we a extremely pleased with the resultWe noticed one rip in the patio screen and they came out immediately to fix itWe like the fact that they have an inspector that comes to the job that completes a survey with us and operates every window and door to make sure it would pass the city inspectionWe have told our neighbors about Storm tight and they purchased from them as wellThe windows look great but we LOVE the big doors leading out to the poolThank you and great job
Stormtight windows has deceptive marketing and sales techniques and terrible customer seriveThere follow up promises were never keptThe install team did a half *** job, that luckily the city building inspector caught and had them rectify(sliding door latches not bolted to door frame with the required number of screws so the door could be pried open easier)The sales person, *** *** promised a full wind mitigation report after intallation, so I could submit to my insurance for a discountThe lazy inspector (stormtight employee) only gave me the page for the windows, not the full reportSo if I submit this to the insurance I lose the credits I have for the other areas of the previous wind mitigation inspectionThey can not combine the certificatesStormtight has not responded to more than calls for them to rectify thisTerrible follow upAs soon as they have your money- they don't even know your nameMy rating for them is FOver priced windows with lies and poor service
We had an appointment for an estimate last Sunday - they never showed, never calledWe finally called them, they rescheduled - we sat around, again, on a Sunday waiting, no one showed up, no one calledWe called and the calls just kept going straight to voicemailTalked to them on Monday - the vowed they called us (at least times) - double checked the phone no incoming callsReally upset that two Sundays were wasted waiting on themWe actually went around to neighbors who have had storm windows put up and got good reviews of the ones who used Storm Tight Windows
I met with a sales man in mid January from Storm Tight Windows He said since it was the slow season that the windows would be made and installed in three weeks This was very important to my husband and I since we have to renew our Homeowners Insurance and Windstorm Insurance to get our rates way down Currently we are paying an extra $a month because these windows need to be replaced We explained in detail to the representative how important this was to have done and he said the time to have our windows installed would again, be only three weeks My husband and I were very happy that we would have this done by March I am still waiting to have a permit pulled It is March 11, and I called the City of Wilton Manors ten minutes ago The gentleman at the City said there was no record of a permit being pulled! I called Storm Tight Windows and Doors and asked to speak to someone other than the two ladies I have been speaking to I was put on hold for minuntil the lady got back on the phone to tell me that the lady "***" that pulls permits does not have a "working phone" at the moment She asked for my email address and they will email me information I did want to note that I called exactly two weeks ago today and "***" said that she was pulling my permit the very next day and I did call yesterday and asked the status of the permit and my windows and the secretary said that "***" was out to lunch and would call me No call yesterday or today
My wife and I contracted with Storm Tight Windows in for $22,worth of windows for our home that was built in The old windows were single pane, badly sealing and pitted and rustedSTW came by and showed us the new window types and we were sold! They even made a super deal with us and gave us a price breakThen they also allowed in house financing with simple interestTwo years later and the windows are everything STW said they would beThe whole company operated professionally and the installers took less than three days to install all custom sized windows and clean upWe don't use a de-humidifierThe windows seal so well, there is no humidity in the houseGreat windows, great company!
