Bank of the San Juans

This is a terrible bank! The people do not verify checks and accounts properly, misquote customers and according to the local sheriff's department, are currently involved in a check fraud scam. They are a big bank trying to pose as a small group of local banks with questionable practices. I would be Very careful with your money here!

August 8, Revdex.com of New Mexico Jefferson St NE, Ste A Albuquerque, NM 87109- To Whom It May Concern: Please accept Bank of the San Juans’ response below to Complaint ID [redacted] regarding customer service issues related to a checking account overdraft and unauthorized transactions by a third party On 8/1/16, the consumer requested refund of all overdraft fees associated with the unauthorized transactions from 7/5/16, refund of all unauthorized withdrawals that overdrew the account and assurance that all deposits were properly credited to the account following overdraft incident Overdraft fees were refunded on 8/2/16, provisional credit for unauthorized withdrawals was granted on 8/8/(following receipt of signed written statements of unauthorized electronic (ACH) debits from consumer) and all deposits were credited at time of receipt The consumer also indicated they had not authorized the bank to overdraw the account During a bank acquisition in April 2016, the new bank’s overdraft program was applied to the account When the consumer brought this concern to the bank’s attention, the bank immediately terminated the overdraft as of 7/8/ We appreciate the opportunity to take care of the consumer’s concerns and greatly apologize for the inconveniences caused by this situation Sincerely, Beth S [redacted] Senior Vice President Chief Administrative Officer Bank of the San Juans, Division of Glacier Bank
