Bankers Auto Rebuild Towing and Wrecking Reviews (1)

Dear [redacted]:Tuesday, December 6, 2016October ih 2016 customer's car was towed to Bankers Auto Rebuild, at that time she filled out theauthorization form for us to do repairs. She stated it was going to be a customer pay as she was notcovered by her sister's insurance,An estimate was written...

and given to customer Oct ih. She then said she was going to call herinsurance to see if she was covered by them. Several days passed and we had not heard fromher. Customer called a few days later asking the repair status of her car, she was told then we neededto know if her insurance was going to be responsible, if she had received a claim number or if she wasgoing to pay herself. We still had no idea how to proceed with repairs. In the auto body repair industryinsurance companies have different guidelines we must follow in how the vehicle is repaired regardingthe parts we use, old vs new etc., a lot of cases they will send an adjustor out to inspect car.She told us at that time she had not heard back from them yet. She said she would try again to get a holdof them and call us back. Several more phone calls same conversation and She still would not tell ushow to proceed with repairs. This has now gone on for 40 plus days.Customer called Wednesday Nov 16th to let us know she was moving her car to her friend's body shop.told her that was not a problem, but due to the fact she was taking the car to another repair facilitythere were storage charges that would need to be paid before we could release the car.60.00 dollars per day is the industry standard in this area some go as high as 75.00 per day .. I feelcustomer had no intentions of having car repaired but needed a place to store vehicle because shecouldn't park a wrecked car at her residence. She called again with her friend on the phone and wanted to work something out. She said theInsurance Company only gave her 2500.00 for the cost of repairs. Seems a bit odd they would send hermoney when she said she never spoke to them. I told her I did not have the authority to do that butwould get the manager for her.Due to her financial situation manager told her we would reduce the charges to 1800.00 but the car hadto be picked up by 5:00 pm Friday Nov 18th or the charges would remain and accrue at 60.00 perday. She agreed.Customer called on Nov 18th to let us know she will not be able to pick up car. She had rent to pay.Nov 28th customer came into shop and manager went over the final bill with her, and the previousagreement. She agreed to pick up car Friday Dec gth with a cashier's check for the balance due. Manageragreed to stop charges as of Nov 28th.Cindy H[redacted]Banker's Auto Rebuild & Towing[redacted]
