My wife and I hired [redacted] for a bankruptcy filing. It was fine - they filed the paperwork and we completed the process. Since then I've had issues with the mortgage companies reporting negative information with the credit companies. When I called they told me that the bankruptcy judgement didn't include certain necessary information and they were not going to stop with the negative reports and lien. They told me to call the lawyer that filed my case.
I called [redacted] office and could not get any information. The people that work in his office no absolutely nothing. They really don't, either their computers are down, they have trouble finding my file or they need to consult with someone. I really think he hires high school interns and I'm not kidding. They are there simply to keep people away from Richard [redacted]. They pretend to listen and care and tell me they'll call back but NEVER do. AND.... [redacted] is never able to talk to me.
I've given up and I would not recommend that anyone use Richard [redacted]. I'm researching my options on my own. There is some good information on the Internet.

Review: I retained Attorney [redacted] Check on October 7, 2015 with a down payment of $1000. I retained this attorney to be placed in a student loan repayment program so that I can get on track with my student loan payments with a repayment schedule that fits my budget. When I originally hired the attorney I was informed that this process takes approximately 30 to 60 days, that I would receive updates and communications regarding the status, and that I would be enrolled in the repayment program and be assigned monthly payments within 30 -60 days of a retainer paid in full. I made my final payment to Attorney Check on November 9, 2015. Since that time I have not received the services promised, and have been unsuccessful at over 50 attempts to contact Attorney Check by phone, email, fax, and Facebook messages.

Upon retainer I was informed that a cease and desist letter would be sent to the Loan holder of my students loans so that collection attempts would cease until my repayment process begins.

As of today, My student loan carrier has still not received any verification from attorney Check regarding the fact that I have him retained, And at this point are pursuing litigation against me due to my loans being delinquent.

I have made countless efforts to contact the attorneys office through all means available, and have been unable to get a conclusive answer regarding what is going on with my case, why the paperwork has not been filed with my student loan carrier, and what the attorneys office is doing regarding action in this case.

Again I have had my retainer for services paid in full since November 9, 2015 and have received no communication or updates from this office regarding the status of my case even after countless an endless efforts to get in contact with them.

In recent calls I have let secretaries know that I have filed a complaint with the office of consumer protection as well as a complaint with the office of lawyer regulation, and even after requesting a call back and notifying them that I have filed complaints I still have not received any communication or feedback from the office.

I have requested a refund of the full retainer so that I can retain an attorney who can successfully and adequately handle my case. Again I have received no call back or no contact from this office.

I am in fear that my student loans will result in litigation including garnishment of my wages, which will result in a serious financial hardship for me. Because of attorney Checks inability to adequately handle my case even though I have made a payment in full.

I am filing this complaint in hopes to receive some communication from attorney Checks office Regarding a refund of the $1500 retainer that was paid as of November 9, 2015, so that I can hire a lawyer who can adequately handle my case appropriately and so that I can successfully resolve the situation.

I do have adequate documentation including all receipts of payment, email notifications, fax notifications, as well as personal notifications to Facebook inboxes. I am more than willing to provide this documentation upon request. All of these attempts to contact this office have failed and I am asking for the assistance of the Revdex.com at this time.Desired Settlement: I am asking for a full refund so that I can hire an attorney who can adequately handle my case which will result in resolution of a student loan repayment program that fits my needs. This office has been unable to provide that, And I feel that because of this I am entitled to a full refund.

We've had a similar issue with my husband's bankruptcy. The paperwork was filed and since then, trying to get an answer to any question has been near impossible. Call after call after call will go unanswered. We get more information by contacting the trustee directly. Bankruptcy isn't an every day thing for us, and we have questions about our future. Not being able to get answers to those questions is beyond frustrating. If all you need is paperwork filed, this is the place. If you want an advocate to guide you through the whole process, I would look elsewhere.

After my nasty divorce I was in need of a fresh start. Clean slate, if you will. Mr. Richard C[redacted] & his friendly associates helped me with any and all questions that I had. I would most definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a fresh start in the financial part of your life. Which will lead to a more peaceful state of mind. My life is going in a positive direction again. Thank you Mr. C[redacted]????

Paid $800.00 to file bankruptcy. Asked for calls to aid me in getting this filed, no calls or response. Another attorney told me that when a person hires legal assistance, the attorney should at least have the courtesy to call them and offer whatever help that the client requires. There have been nothing at all for response for the money spent.
