This hospital is not what it used to be This is what you can now expect when you go to the ER, yourself -A long wait after vitals and explaining why you are there -A nurse or whatever will then call A GROUP of people to the back to be seen at one timeI was called back in a group if Then you wait some more -Once the Drsees you, then come the tests, which you also wait for -Now comes the fun partAfter tests, you then go to another WAITING AREA for your resultsYou might be dragging an IV, be too sick to sit in a chair, but in a chair you are going, no matter what -On the wall, is a huge red sign stating how long you will have to sit in a chair, depending on the test, it is a minimum if an hour, to up to minutes+ Horrible way to treat people seeking assistance at an emergency roomIt's downright cruel

-A long wait after vitals and explaining why you are there.
-A nurse or whatever will then call A GROUP of people to the back to be seen at one time. I was called back in a group if 6. Then you wait some more.
-Once the Dr. sees you, then come the tests, which you also wait for.
-Now comes the fun part. After tests, you then go to another WAITING AREA for your results. You might be dragging an IV, be too sick to sit in a chair, but in a chair you are going, no matter what.
-On the wall, is a huge red sign stating how long you will have to sit in a chair, depending on the test, it is a minimum if an hour, to up to 120 minutes+.
Horrible way to treat people seeking assistance at an emergency room. It's downright cruel.

Horrible way to treat people seeking assistance at an emergency room. It's downright cruel.

I was transported (non-trauma) to Banner Good Sam after laying my motorcycle down on the interstate. I never got imaging done on any part of my body until I specifically requested my wrist and shoulder 8+ hours later even though I was involved in a high speed motorcycle accident at freeway speeds. I was supposed to get a tetnis shot.. never happened. I never had my ankle or leg wounds cleaned or properly wrapped/bandaged as they "weren't an issue". I was discharged without any antibiotics but instead Oxycodone and Ibuprofren and less than 2 weeks later my ankle they didn't clean had gone borderline septic and I had to be admitted into another Banner institution to treat the infection and given high dosages of antibiotics. I don't know why I was given very very lackluster emergency room care but for a major trauma center this seems very unprofessional and very low par medical care. Now I am stuck paying for 2 hospital bills because the first hospital didn't do half of their job "because they didn't think it was necessary". I was never told to follow up with a primary care provider after my discharge the same day from the Emergency Room either.
