The a and emotionally abusive manager would not tell me his name he was working 1010 has long hair in a ponytail. All I wanted was a nice tea and he created a drama scene I would reconsider the temperament of who you put in. Management

Bar Louie. At 1335 south Halsted chicago...racist manager...rude service...crap food...shut down and fire manager

Slow food service and rude members of managementHello. I visited your establishment on yesterday 5-7-16 to help celebrate my good friends wedding anniversary. We were a very large party, however my friends made reservations over a week in advance so that your establishment would be prepared to handle such a large group of people. Our waitress Alexis (Or Alexus) was Fantastic! Your kitchen and management staff however, were DEPLORABLE. UTTERLY DEPLORABLE. First my boyfriend waited over an hour and a half to receive the Mac and cheese with grilled chicken he ordered. An hour and a half for noodles cheese sauce and chicken... No steak, no burger... noodles, cheese sauce, and chicken. I imagine this probably the one of the simpler items on your menu to prepare and serve. We were floored and beyond frustrated that EVERYONE at our table had been served their food, with some having sent their food back and receive a corrected order. Our Waitress repeatedly apologized for the delay, continued to go back to the kitchen to inquire on the status of the food. At the one hour since ordering his food mark, I asked to speak with the manager. She obliged and went to deliver my request. 15 minutes, no manager visits my end of the table (though he meets with another person at our table about their complaint, twice). I advise another waitress walking by our table that I would like to speak with the manager, she obliges and leaves to deliver the request. Another 10-15 mins pass before the manager comes back to meet with the other person at our table he has met with prior. Members at the table flag him down as he leaves to let him know that I want to speak with him and he comes over. First I clarified that he was the manager. He introduced himself as Deon the Assistant General Manager. I say ok, shake his hand, and proceed to tell him of my issues, 1 that it took almost half an hour to speak to a manager and 2 that we waited over 1.5 hours for mac and cheese and grilled chicken. Deon proceeds to tell me, the customer, that he was busy and that is why it took him half an hour to come to address my concerns and that while voicing said concerns, that I had raised my voice at him (we were sitting on the patio where the ambient noise is quite loud, so yes my voice was elevated for the purpose of projecting over the noise) and was talking to him 'crazy' and he would not talk to me until I 'learned' how to talk to him, all the while making hand gestures in the direction of and within inches of my face and storms off. Other patrons at neighboring tables are staring at this point. Naturally, My boyfriend and I are beyond livid at the behavior of not only someone in a leadership position at this establishment, but from a man directed at a woman. This is beyond unacceptable. I then walk to the hostess station to ask for a general manager or owner to let he or she know of the experience. I speak with Brad Crooms who stated that he is the general manger. I tell him of the events that transpired. He proceeds to tell me (and my friend who has joined me at the hostess desk) that our fantastic waitress lied about Mac and cheese order (which I am 100% sure is far from the truth) and that's why he thinks the food was delayed. He agrees that the issue with Deon was unacceptable and he will address it at the appropriate time, stating that after closing he would address Deon about the situation. He comped our meal, apologized again and went on his way. This has been quite frankly the worst restaurant experience I have had in my life. To be addressed in the manner that the assistant general manager addressed me, and then to have his boss basically blame the food issues on our awesome waitress and not the true cause of the issue, the kitchen and support wait staff and half-heartedly apologize for the behavior of his member of management, and to have to wait 1.5 hours for Mac and cheese with grilled chicken. I'm astonished that this type of management and behavior is acceptable practice at Bar Louie.Desired SettlementAs a first time customer, this experience has solidified that I will not be a repeat customer, ever. I expect to hear from the owner/proprietor of this establishment about this experience and their plan to address the deplorable behavior of management staff and the lackluster service of the kitchen staff.

Review: I had frequented this establishment of bar Louie for sometime with no problems once in may I had been there and they had charged my credit card inappropriately and I questioned them why and they said because they don't get paid enough. There for I contacted my credit card company and told them it was fraud and they agreed there for refunding me my money. Iv been harassed by there employees outside of this establishment and have not wanted such contact from them.Desired Settlement: to make sure this never happens to anyone else and to be investigated
