American Loans has refinanced my home several timesWe took out originally a year mortgage with no closing costsWe had a very good experienceA few years later we wanted to reduce the time left on our mortgage so we could go from years left to a year fixed rate mortgageWe checked with several companies to compare and American Loans gave us the lowest rate and costsWe were able to reduce to a year loan and keep the payments not much more than what we had before but saving so many years of debt Our Loan officer gave us several options and explained how things were going to move along the procedure of the loanWe were able to lock the rate and the costs as we had plannedWe were very happy with the experienceI would gladly recommend them
Easily one of the worst experiences I have ever enduredBecause of American Loans, we were out of contract for two weeks, we almost lost the house twice, their entire staff lied multiple times, they have unlicensed people filling in for brokers (TRID Violation, their staff told me this)They were brought in to expedite the process and they did nothing but slow it down! When I told the processor "JL (the owner) knew we needed a fast turnaround" she replied " if she was more than a processor, she would have not selected this lender option because of how slow they are." The two weeks we were homeless cost use roughly $and that was us living as frugal as possibleIf you are looking for a mortgage, do yourself a favor and RUN! After we were homeless due to their incompetence and lack of empathy (two weeks) the owners wife lectured me about my language because their staff was costing us thousands dollars in living costs, fees, and additional service that we ordinarily would not have incurredI called them out for it, granted I did use foul language, but that was after I was told the the staff member I was talking to said "you're fine to swear, I'm the sailor of the group."
My family was living out of suit cases in multiple hotels and motels (moving units to take advantage of specials) the last days we had to split up the family because our dog sitter could not watch them and my wife stayed miles awayThey did offer to get us a hotel the last few days, I told her to use those resources to do what they said they would do and get the loan to closingWe declined the offer so they could get us to closing faster, pay people overtime so we can get it doneI had to take an afternoon off of work to babysit the staff to do their jobWhen I walked into their offices at the beginning of the second week, the staff was very rude (all accept Brady, who was always pretty cool)No one would make eye contact with me and the cowardly staff would whisper at their desks and only communicate with me through emailLet me repeat that, I was sitting in their offices and they would only communicate with me through emailAt the end of a four hour wait, they told me the loan was going to title and they were closing so I needed to leaveAnother lie, we didn't close for another several daysAt closing we had to pay an additional $because they did not put in the value of the home owners insurance ( mind you, they were on the phone with me when I set the policy up)Little mistakes like that cost people money, when we began the process cash to close was around $12k, when American Loans finished up it was almost $20kTo wrap my story up, I contacted the owner again and said "you offered to put us up and we asked you to focused those resources on getting the loan done (which she didn't do) because of your clerical mistake we are paying an additional $over the extra money we wired inYou offered to make this right and this is how you can do it." She told me that the money she refunded me for the appraisals that never happened was her making it right?! The money I paid that was not used was refunded and that was doing me a favor?! Thank you for rewarding me with my own money!
At best they are a hodgepodge company too incompetent to serve customers, this will cost you money and time simply because they are unorganized and unskilledAt worst they are a sneaky shady business that exploit the opaque nature of real estate laws and regulations to keep and abuse the power that comes with making the largest purchase most people make in their lives Either way, is this something you want to gamble with?
Not being vindictive toward American Loans, I'm trying to stop you from subjecting yourself to this senseless torturous processI would rather roll in broken glass than do business with American LoansStay awayYou could literally hire any other broker and have a better experience than this dumpster fire

They gave us a year loan at omly 2.75% and our closing costs were only $2,we are saving a tonMy parents recommended American Loans they havr used them for years now is our turnWe looked around other companies and our bank and nobody could beat their dealI strongly recommend them
