In response to your letter of Sep 1,2015 concerning above case the chain in question was originally purchased approximately 13 year ago. The customer received a Free Manufacturers Lifetime Warranty. Chain was purchased before we were...

computerized but we think it was purchased between 2002 to 2005. Since we became computerized in 2007 we have records of six repairs on this chain at no charge. Before that we believe we even replaced the chain with a new one at least once or twice at no charge. The last time the chain was brought in, it looked very worn out. The customer was told that the chain is no longer under warranty due to wear and tear. Customer wanted it repaired again. We agreed to repair it and charged them $24.00. The repair was picked up and paid for by wife with no complaints. A week later the husband comes in with wife requesting a refund for repair. A refund was offered politely and firmly but the customer was alerted that the lifetime warranty is null due to the condition of the chain. Customer refused the refund. In retrospect we feel that during the past 13 years we have been more than fair and treated the customer with respect and with our traditional ultimate customer service regarding this chain. Our final gesture to resolve this matter with this customer and to prevent any lowering of our impeccable rating with the Revdex.com would be to replace the chain with a new one of similar quality, style and weight, in good faith. However we will no longer honor any warranty on the new chain.
