Review: We hired the referenced company to replace a sagging porch roof, we were assured that when they completed the job we would no longer have any issues. The job was started but then the contractor had family issues and stopped showing up to do the work, we had a half demolished roof for several weeks, he would not answer phone calls, I finally got a hold of him and he sent someone else out to complete the job, first rain we had we had the same issue of water pooling on one side of the roof instead of draining down the rain spout. Contact the contractor and they came out and jacked up one side of the roof but next rain still the same issue. At that point we were told they would be out to build up the roof on one side to pitch the roof so it would drain, no one ever came out and they stopped answering my calls. In September we saw the contractor at my daughters school and on an almost daily basis would ask when they would be out, he kept putting us off that he was tied up on other jobs and would be out soon. About a month ago he sent someone out who looked at the roof and said short of taking the whole roof off and replacing again there was nothing they could to and they were done coming out. This is a row home and the roof is now sinking and separating from the connecting home's roof. I can provide photos if necessary to show the issues.Desired Settlement: We paid $1700.00 to have the roof replaced and no longer sag and pool water, we did not receive that. We have tried unsuccessfully to have them make good on the job and that has not happened and they have said they would not come back out as all they could do is replace and start over and they will not do that. I would like what we paid to be refunded to us as we now have to hire a new contractor to do what we paid Baratta Construction to do.
