Review: I dropped off my [redacted]) riding mower for an oil change, a new air filter, and a new fuel filter. They called my on Friday (8/2/13) and told me it was ready. I stopped by today (8/7/13) to pick up my mower and discovered it had been stolen. The owner, [redacted], said she did not know what she was going to do as this has never happened before. The police responded to make a police report, and **. [redacted] still said she did not know what she was going to do. She stated that she guessed she would call her insurance company about it. She stated she would probably need my receipt of purchase and I would the value of the mower would be pro-rated since it is 2 years old. Once the officer arrived on scene it was discovered that most customer's equipment they are working on are stored outside, partially under a carport but mostly exposed to the elements. There is a wood fence on the back of this carport area that has several boards missing and can be freely moved to get to the equipment. In addition to the lack of security for the customer's equipment, they leave all of the keys for the riding mowers in them, so anyone can easily access the mowers and start them up.**. [redacted] still could not give me a definite answer as to what she would do. The company tried to offer me another riding mower that they would fix for me, but it was much older. I refused and advised that I paid $1500 for my mower and I wanted that much in return to purchase a new one. The owner again said she would need my receipt of purchase and I would probably get a pro-rated value for my mower. I told her that was not going to work as I would have to come out of pocket money to purchase the exact same mower. She said she would call her insurance agent and call me back when she figured out what to do. There did not seem to be any concern for my needs, nor for the lack of security of the area where customer's equipment is kept. One of the employees in the store knew the fence could be moved.Desired Settlement: I would like the full value of the lawn mower paid to me to cover the expense of a new one.

Dear **.[redacted]:

The purpose of this letter is to provide a response to the complaint filed by [redacted] on August 7,2013, indicating that his [redacted]r ([redacted]) was stolen from our business property.

On July 27,2013, **.[redacted] dropped his [redacted] to be serviced. Our mechanic changed the air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, and oil, sharpened the blades, checked tire pressure, and added air in the tires as needed. When the work was complete we contacted **.[redacted] on Friday, August 2.2013, to inform him the riding mower was ready for pickup.

**.[redacted] came to pick up his mower on Wednesday, August 7,2013. It was then discovered that his mower was missing from a second area under the carport. A police report was filed to report the theft. I have owned this business for 38 years and never had anything stolen form the carport area that is secured by fencing. The majority of our customers' equipment was stored inside the building at the time of this theft. However, some of the larger equipment was stored under the carport in a secured area. Since this incident occurred, we have moved the equipment inside the building.

On Thursday, August 8th, I left two voice messages for my insurance agent to report the theft. Unfortunately, he was out of town, but the claim was filed as soon as he returned to the office on Monday, August 12,2013.

I received a reimbursement check from our insurance company on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. **.[redacted] was then contacted to inform him that his check was available for pick up or if he preferred, could be mailed. The check amount is [redacted] to cover the full replacement cost of the [redacted].

It is very unfortunate that **.[redacted] was stolen from our business property and we apologize for his loss. If you have any questions about this response, please contact me at [redacted].

Sincerely,

[redacted], Owner

Review: When told I kept my mower on the ground, then on lime, then on treated wood (all not correct) I asked if they were going to fix it and I would rather it be fixed then buy another. The woman kept teling me to trash it. When I asked if the didnt want to fix it (which was fine I would just take it somewhere else) they HUNG UP ON ME..TWICE. The second time a man answered. I told him I was very upset I was hung up on he stated he was mad that I said he wouldnt do the work, he then told me to come pick up my mower and hung up. Their professsionalism was HORRIBLE. I will never let anyone I know go there. Now the delimma.. pick up the mower and pay the 30.00 OR let them scrap it out for parts. I do not want to pay for this diagnosis with them being so plain NASTY. I wanted them to fix it, but they made it very clear they did not, when I asked if that was the case they became hostile. What a TERRIBLE experience.Desired Settlement: I want to be able to get my mower and not pay the 30.00 diagnosis fee.

Response:

Company states the mower can be picked up and no fee will be charged.

Review: I took my lawnmower in for repair on 6/18/13, at GT Enterprises because it was leaking oil and smoking. I was told it would be three days to a week until it was fixed. I called on 6/25/13 and it was ready for pick up. I was told by them it had "too much oil in the crankcase" and "the manufacturer ships the lawnmower from the factory with oil in it." I started to cut my grass later that evening, it started leaking oil again and I stopped. I called GT Enterprises the following day and told them the situation and they said that "oil can leak from anywhere" and "lawnmower engines do smoke all the time." They became increasingly rude over the phone, would not return my money and gave me the runaround about my repair. They performed maintenance on my mower and did not diagnose or repair the problem of the oil leaking.Desired Settlement: I would like all of my money returned.

The 26th day of June, 2013.

**.[redacted] called me about a mower that was repaired here at G.T. Enterprises after running about 20 to 30 minutes the unit begain leaking oil, at the fly wheel seal, (under the cover and all the electrical components on mower). I apoligised and asked **.[redacted] to being me the mower and I would repair it at little to no charge. Assuming all is well, [redacted]) came in and refused to leave the mower. @ approx: 12:38pm same day: I called **.[redacted], to try and resolve this issue, to no avail. **.[redacted] became very angry and childish. At this point I refused to help, **.[redacted]. He then threatened me and in his words exactly: I Have Not Finished With You Yet (no civil action taken). At this point we at G.T. Enterprises, have washed our hands of this matter and consider it resolved.
