The complainants mother brought her vehicle over to our shop for repair. After the vehicle was estimated by [redacted] the vehicle went into rotation for repair. The daughter [redacted] called to say her mother passed away and could we continue to repair the car. She sated she would call [redacted]...
and have payment sent to us, this process took four weeks. [redacted] finally released the payment. There was a lien holder, the daughter [redacted] specified the car is not to go to her sister or her mothers boyfriend it should go back to the lien holder. We had no problem with that scenario.The lien holder contacted our shop and when they heard the amount of damage for $3800 plus for a 2005 [redacted] they asked us to hold off on repair they may want to take the car as is as junk in that case the payment would have been returned to [redacted] but they would let us know. [redacted] called and was very upset we did not repair the car yet. She had called many, many times during the coarse of this last six weeks trying to keep track of the job (almost to an obsession) it was now in the lien holders hands but she continued to be involved. We tried to explain to [redacted] what the lien holder was requesting us to do, she did not believe us. We went on a three way phone conversation between [redacted] and the lien holder to confirm what we said was true and per the notes documented they did. She persisted on getting the car repaired for the lien holder, and the lien holder agreed and gave us the go ahead to repair the car. The car went back into rotation waiting for repair, a couple days later she called screaming and yelling, how come the car wasn't done, we explained again we just got the authorization to repair, parts had to be ordered. The car was repaired in a timely fashion and the lien holder picked it up.Please refer to our record as we have never had a complaint against our company. This complaint had no merit and even with our very talented public relations skills, this isone customer who obviously had problems.
