I went to this studio based upon yelp reviews. I was presented with a hair topper and was told by Barbara that she needed to trim the hair piece. she did not inform me that if she trimmed the hairpiece that it was not returnable, she did not ask for my permission to trim the piece nor was there a policy posted anywhere referring to this .

Hello This is my side of the story .. I will get you a picture of my policy which right now is on my station in a frame ?? for clients to see as they sit in my chair. I can’t get into my salon at this moment due to Covid I am locked out , I will ask owners if they can let me into the building so I can show you the proof and evidence that it is clearly displayed on my stations right in front of my clients for them to see .. *** made an appointment with me due to hair Thining hair that was really bothering her . I spent about 1 1/2 hours on both of us choosing the perfect topper and color which we did together. Always before I start with any of my clients I always explain about my policies. I am a 1:1 salon suite so it’s just me and my client, very mindful and attentive to my clients needs. *** wanted the topper customized and cut and styled which it needed to be thinned and styled the way she wanted it . *** walked out of my salon wearing the piece and was very happy to have covered her Thining hair . Her and her boyfriend loved the piece . We enjoyed each other’s compAny and in my eyes and hers she was happy with the results. I have been in business for about 2 1/2 years and have never had anyone complain about my service.. I am thorough and attentive to my clients needs and wants. I treat all my clients the same as they are my number one priority to make them feel and look good during the traumatic experience of hair loss . Also when someone wears a piece out of my salon I will not exchange it or have it returned, but I will have them come back to adjust or customize the piece they chose . *** never contacted me for me to help with the problem she was having with the piece . *** didn’t even call me to explain her unhappiness with the piece . [Your Answer Here]The information the business provided is an inaccurate depiction of events. Number 1: Barbara began trimming the hair piece because she was in a rush ( she told us that she was with us for 1 1/2 hours and had to leave without discussing payment nor policy). NUMBER 2: there was NEVER a policy posted indicating her return policies/exchanges. Number 3: Barbara preyed upon a woman who was concerned/upset about her thinning hair. I was not happy with the product but was basically bullied into paying. My boyfriend and I left not exactly knowing what transpired, it was like a whirlwind hit us in the end. I was never pleased with her hairpiece and for her to say that ,"I was thrilled," is once again dishonest.That same day, I contacted Barbara that I was unhappy with the hairpiece, and would like to return it and she replied that she would not accept a return. I found Barbara's business on the internet with nice reviews. Lesson learned: do not listen to wonderful reviews, they are not always truthful as in this case. Thank you for your time and consideration.

This is a letter I wrote for American Express .. as you can see I did take my time which you have no other choice but to take your time.. *** was a beautiful women and she looked fabulous and she loved the way she looked otherwise she wouldn’t of walked out with it on .. I have to see if I can get into my building to take a picture of my policy .. which is framed and on my station.. the owner of the building has locked building but I will see if I can get into it .. Also her second complaint she was not rushed at all as it takes time to find the perfect piece and if she was so unhappy she would have never left with it on .. makes me sad to know that she was unhappy and never tried to reach out ..
