Thank you for the
opportunity to respond to ***’s concerns. I am very familiar with *** and her vehicle. I did review her service file and spoke
to her technician
She brought the vehicle into
our service department stating that she believed her vehicle was not getting
the proper gas mileage. The
appropriate tests were administered by the technician and the computer system
did not find anything that would suggest that the gas mileage was being
compromised
After explaining the diagnostic
report to *** she came back with the gas cap in her hand and said that
the black rubber seal was missing from inside and that is what the problem
is. The technician and I know that
it not the reason for low gas mileage.
The technician also states that it is next to impossible for the black
rubber ring to fall off with use
*** wanted to buy a
new gas cap and she did so. Gas
caps are generally $to $dollars
Her vehicle which has over
43,miles is out of warranty The gas cap replacement is not coveredShe was not charged
anything for the diagnostic service.
We want to ensure that all of
our service clients are happy in this instance we cannot refund the money no
matter how nominal the amount may be.
We did not damage the gas cap and to replace it was her choice
We hope this clears up any confusion
that *** may have regarding her service experience

October 16, 2014Please reopen the above complaint. It was an unfortunate error that we did not reply to the initial complaint correctly. [redacted] purchased a pre-owned vehicle and with any preowned vehicle service maintenance is necessary,All of our pre-owned vehicles are...

As far as his Complaint about changing a tire, the tires were in excellent condition when [redacted] purchased the van.We do not understand why [redacted] feels that he should receive $3000.00 back for the vehicle. If he is experiencing problems with his vehicle he can call me directly and I can personally look into it.Thank you.Tom T

Review: I purchased a van from [redacted] a few weeks after my sister purchased the exact same vehicle. My salesman,**,promised to send my sister a $50 referral fee. I followed up with him several times and was always assured the check would be mailed. This month I took the vehicle in to have software replaced due to a manufacturing recall. I spoke to the sales manager and was advised that ** no longer worked there but he would check into it and give me a call back. Didn't hear back again so called and spoke to vp named [redacted]. He said that the agreement was between me and ** and that the company could not back it up.Don't care so much about the money as I do the terrible customer service and the run around I got. Wasted much of my time following up on a false promise. I advised [redacted] that perhaps they shouldn't be allowed to offer referral fees if the company doesn't stand behind them since it is definitely a negative reflection on the business. They will no longer have my family's business or that of anyone who may ask my opinion.Desired Settlement: An apology would work but a check for the referral to my sister would be nice too.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

This letter shall memorialize our response to [redacted]’s complaint submitted to the Bureau on April 23, 2013 and assigned an ID [redacted].

I, [redacted], personally spoke with [redacted] via telephone on Friday, April 25, 2013 in order to better understand her concerns. Unfortunately as [redacted], the salesperson, is no longer employed with the company I was not able to speak to him to verify her complaint. However, the Company sincerely regrets that [redacted] and her sister were dissatisfied with their experience. During our conversation, I expressed our regrets and offered [redacted] the apology she sought. Additionally, a check in the amount of $50 was drafted and made payable to [redacted]’s sister on Friday, April 25, 2013. The check should have been mailed out on Friday but definitely would have been sent no later than today, Monday, April 29, 2013.

I hope that you, [redacted] and her sister find this resolution to be acceptable.

Sincerely,

Customer Service Manager

Review: I was interested in buying a car from the [redacted]. I finally found something that I wanted but needed to wait for funds to clear before I made the purchase. I promised the salesman that I would come back in a few days with the money needed to purchase the vehicle. I guess the fear of me leaving and possibly not returning made the salesman nervous. he urged me to write a post dated check for the balance of the down payment so that I could take the truck that day. I was very hesitant about doing that because I didnt want something to happen and the dealership not get paid. I didnt feel comfortable writing the post dated check but with the pressure from the salesman assuring me that the checked would not be cashed until the day we agreed on I wrote the post dated check. not only did they not wait until the day they were supposed to cash the check but they called me complaining that the check had bounced. I told the salesman that I dealt with what was going on and he said everything would be fine as long as you took care of things. the next day the repo the truck with all my belongings in it and act like I did something wrong. if the salesman wouldve waited instead of jumping the gun because of his greed to make a sale. not to mention I paid them 1000.00 cash at the time of the purchase of the vehicle which they are refusing to give back. the employees are all sleezy salesmen and should not be trusted. id stay clear of this place and deal with a more reputable company. the service department also offers horrible service. shouldnt you call the customer to let them know that the vehicle is ready for pickup? no you have to constantly call them to find out the status of your vehicle. horrible service all around.Desired Settlement: my vehicle that I originally traded in with my money back and the money I spent on the new vehicle

Review: I went up to Barbera's auto land because I was having an issue with my fuel mileage they checked everything out that was computer-related and miss the most simplest thing a bad gas cap because it did not set a code and the problem with the gas cap was is it was missing the black ring around it that allowed it to seal to the tankDesired Settlement: To refund me for the cost the And to billet under my warranty for the car

Review: On November 9, 2013 I entered [redacted]'s Autoland with the intention of leasing a new [redacted]. I spoke with salesperson [redacted] and Finance Manager [redacted] both of whom represented [redacted] Autoland. On that date I signed a lease agreement that, among other things, listed a monthly payment of 315.01 per month for a lease on a 2014 [redacted]. In addition to the terms of that agreement, I was told that I would owe nothing more to [redacted] on the lease I was returning and that I would be refunded New Jersey motor vehicle fees because I was moving to Pennsylvania on December 1st. I left the dealership with a new [redacted] (2014 [redacted]) and left my previous leased [redacted] (2011 [redacted]) with the dealership.

Since that contract was agreed upon, I have come to learn that the dealership has violated the Truth in Lending Act of 1968 in multiple aspects. First, [redacted]'s Autoland reworked the numbers in my contract, forged my signature, and submitted a fraudulent contract to [redacted]. Second, the State of New Jersey does not refund fees for the unused portion of a lease contract. Third, they provided me with a signed agreement stating that they would pay me $1664.98. I have not received this payment. Finally, I was informed by [redacted] that I may be liable for further charges from them after my old vehicle is picked up and inspected.

Upon being notified of the above blatant violations of the TILA, the dealership has continued to provide me with false information, failed to negotiate in good faith to address the issues, and failed to provide me with valid license plates so that I could use the vehicle until this mess was sorted out.Desired Settlement: I would like to resolve this matter by:

1) I want to undo this fraudulent deal

2) I want to lease a [redacted] from a reputable [redacted] dealer and leave your vehicle with them. the dealer can arrange to pick up their vehicle from them. I should not incur additional costs of delivery.

3) I would like them to allow [redacted] to immediately pick up my 2011 [redacted] and they should be held responsible for any costs associated with that lease termination. The vehicle has been in their possession for one month and they obviously cannot be trusted. I should not incur any costs based on their TILA violations and any payments made to [redacted] should be considered their lose based on their fraudulent acts.

4) I want [redacted] Autoland to be liable for any costs associated with this fraudulent deal including but not limited to my legal costs and rental vehicle costs (since they failed to deliver valid plates to me)

5) I would like a signed agreement that [redacted]'s Autoland agrees to these terms and will not try to hold me liable for any future costs.

Review: They have given me a 30 day warranty instead of a 3 year warranty on a 5 year note without it being in the contract connected to my monthly note. I was there the majority of the day, and I signed all the contracts to close the deal without reading the small pront. I noticed at the end of the evening, the sales rep came over with 1 sheet of paper asking me to sign, and I did. I have been under alot of stress know I told the sales guy I did not want to go over a certain amount(400) dollars and when he came back to say 448, I was ok with that long as there is an extended warrenty involve. Being they gave me $6000.00 for my used vehical. I take medication for depression and anxiety.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to use some of the 6000 of my down payment to go towards the extended warrenty being I cannot take this car and pay out of pocket expenses when my insurance is 285 a month too. I cannot afford to do a separate extended warranty. The car is still at the location having the leather seats put in. I was Misrepresented, and now all they want is my W2. I need them to resolve this issue before picking up the car. The financial team is staing this is a done deal.
