Mr*** came into the shop claiming multiple issues with his car, and stated that the insurance company would need to pick up the billAt that time, we informed Mr*** of what we could see that was related to the claim from the facts of the loss.Mr*** initially stated that the insurance
company was to pay for the stretched cableHowever, after they informed him that they were not responsible for the cable he then claimed that it wasn’t that way when he brought it into the shop; and that we must have broken itIn reality this issue is a maintenance issue and should be taken care of by the owner of the vehicleUnfortunately, it appears that Mr*** was trying to get something for nothingThe steps to replace an outside door handle do not include removing the inside door handle completely and/or cableThere was no need for our technicians to disconnect and remove the inside door handle to remove the trim panel, in order to replace the outside door handle (this information may be verified on YouTubeLookup “Remove inside door trim panel on a BMW I”)The procedure adequately shows the inside door handle screw removed and the trim panel carefully slid over the top of the handle, with the inside door handle remaining intact and cable never removed or disturbedWhen the vehicle was brought in for the technician to start repairs he immediately requested the shop Forman to look at the inside door handle and see that the inside cable appeared to possibly be stretched or something because he noticed the amount of travel the handle had before the door would open from pulling the inside handlePlease note the vehicle is a that had 190,miles on it at the time of estimate; this is a year old vehicle with the driver’s side door handle being used the most of allWhen the vehicle left the shop the inside door handle worked the same as it worked when Mr*** dropped the vehicle off for repairs to the outside door handle replacement, i.e., the door opening by pulling the inside door handle a little further than is required on one without a stretched cableThis was demonstrated to Mr*** at the time the vehicle was delivered to himTo the point of repairing the vehicle, we would still be willing to help Mr*** with the repairHowever, we would require an apology for speaking disrespectfully to our team members and falsely accusing us of damaging the vehicle; as he was well aware that the cable was damaged when he dropped it off.? If Mr*** would like to purchase the cable, we will schedule an appointment with him to replace the cable while he waitsIn closing; we have been in business since March of 2008, and have never had a customer that we could not make happyWe take pride in addressing any issues of our customers, as well as own up to any mistakes that we may have made.? Quite frankly, if they treat us with respect and just flat out ask us for something rather than make accusations, we go out of our way to assist them with their requestsWe always make a point to take care of customers; as our customers, and our reputation is what keeps our business flourishing

First off the facts we stated were all true and factualHe insist we were hostile and aggressive to himNever were we in the least bit to him in any way! Again we have been a A+ rated business with the Revdex.com for over Years, I don't believe we would have ever maintained this status by being "aggressive and hostile" to our clients!Secondly this is an he said she said now, since he paid to have the Maintenance work done now, that he should have had done a long time ago.Lastly we would not bring him back to our shop as a client now, because clearly in his complaint he is the one who is the aggressor and hostile.RegardsRey Barbosa

I am rejecting this response because: This business is not professional and do not have the facts right in their statement and is mostly made up liesThe details of my insurance is not correct and my insurance company in-fact paid for all the repairs for the accidentAs said in my opening statement, this shop accepted additional desired work by me paid for out of my pocket unrelated to the accident workVehicles do not have expiration dates and if a repair facility is willing to do any work on a vehicle regardless of its age, they should take care to return the vehicle with previous working parts still workingMy outside door handle was broken off in a minor accident and I was not able to open my door from the exterior of my vehicleFor about two months the only way I gained access to drive my vehicle was by opening the passenger door and reaching across to the driver's door and using the pull handle insideThe handle clearly worked before bringing my vehicle to this poor repair facility.? This shop owners and employees I had contact with are threatening, rude and again unprofessionalThey do offer a reasonable way to fix the issue they created and it would not be safe to return to this facility alone, as they are aggressive and lack personal responsibilityI have paid for my door handle to be reconnected to the perfectly fine cableNo new part was required and the repair cost me the labor repair of $As seen in their statement, they do not know what they are doing and should not be trusted to work on BMW's or any other foreign vehicleI want the $reimbursed to me by Kustom Kolor in order to satisfy their error in not correctly connecting my door handleIn-fact there where other things not done right on my vehicle by this shop; The inside door full panel was not placed back in the correct position or provide with new clips to hold it in place as the existing ones were damaged by removal of the panel by this shop; I was told during the connection of the cable that there were items glued together on my door panel as well; I pointed out to Mikey when I arrived to pick up my vehicle that the door rubber molding seal at the place where they worked on my side mirror was not in placeHis immediate response was to deny any work on thatAfter him fumbling around for minutes, he decided to take the car back to the repair area and after some time, brought the car back to front lot and said it wasn't snapped in to the receiver completely and that was all it neededThese items were immediate connected and at the work area of my vehicle but the shop started barking about the age of my car because they could repair what they damagedThey owe me an apology and $to end this complaintThey can mail me a check immediatelyIf required, I can take a picture of the receipt for the labor of reconnecting the door pull and fax it to them or the Revdex.com, while asking the Revdex.com to remove the name of the shop for security reasons

I am rejecting this response because: It is obvious by the business response that they are stalling and do not intend to accept the financial responsibility for their error. I do not believe that this business is reading my last response? If he wants to remain an A+ Revdex.com business, it would be appropriate to pay the cost mentioned in my response ($60) for the labor already paid by me to fix the bad repair job they performed on my vehicle. No parts where needed. I have no intentions to keep the back and forth arguing he is engaged in by repeating my concerns back in his response as his own. I've previously expressed, I have no intention to use them for any work on my car again and the reasons why. Please relay this as a pay up or quit solution and if they chose to not satisfy the complaint, it is appropriate to reduce their rating and post my complaint on your business site, so that others can be forewarned to this lesser quality repair facility. Thank you.

Mr. [redacted] came into the shop claiming multiple issues with his car, and stated that the insurance company would need to pick up the bill. At that time, we informed Mr. [redacted] of what we could see that was related to the claim from the facts of the loss.Mr. [redacted] initially stated that the insurance...

company was to pay for the stretched cable. However, after they informed him that they were not responsible for the cable he then claimed that it wasn’t that way when he brought it into the shop; and that we must have broken it. In reality this issue is a maintenance issue and should be taken care of by the owner of the vehicle. Unfortunately, it appears that Mr. [redacted] was trying to get something for nothing. The steps to replace an outside door handle do not include removing the inside door handle completely and/or cable. There was no need for our technicians to disconnect and remove the inside door handle to remove the trim panel, in order to replace the outside door handle (this information may be verified on YouTube. Lookup “Remove inside door trim panel on a 1997 BMW 528 I”). The procedure adequately shows the inside door handle screw removed and the trim panel carefully slid over the top of the handle, with the inside door handle remaining intact and cable never removed or disturbed. When the vehicle was brought in for the technician to start repairs he immediately requested the shop Forman to look at the inside door handle and see that the inside cable appeared to possibly be stretched or something because he noticed the amount of travel the handle had before the door would open from pulling the inside handle. Please note the vehicle is a 1997 that had 190,814 miles on it at the time of estimate; this is a 20 year old vehicle with the driver’s side door handle being used the most of all. When the vehicle left the shop the inside door handle worked the same as it worked when Mr. [redacted] dropped the vehicle off for repairs to the outside door handle replacement, i.e., the door opening by pulling the inside door handle a little further than is required on one without a stretched cable. This was demonstrated to Mr. [redacted] at the time the vehicle was delivered to him. To the point of repairing the vehicle, we would still be willing to help Mr. [redacted] with the repair. However, we would require an apology for speaking disrespectfully to our team members and falsely accusing us of damaging the vehicle; as he was well aware that the cable was damaged when he dropped it off.  If Mr. [redacted] would like to purchase the cable, we will schedule an appointment with him to replace the cable while he waits. In closing; we have been in business since March of 2008, and have never had a customer that we could not make happy. We take pride in addressing any issues of our customers, as well as own up to any mistakes that we may have made.  Quite frankly, if they treat us with respect and just flat out ask us for something rather than make false accusations, we go out of our way to assist them with their requests. We always make a point to take care of customers; as our customers, and our reputation is what keeps our business flourishing.

I am rejecting this response because: This business is not professional and do not have the facts right in their statement and is mostly made up lies. The details of my insurance is not correct and my insurance company in-fact paid for all the repairs for the accident. As said in my opening statement, this shop accepted additional desired work by me paid for out of my pocket unrelated to the accident work. Vehicles do not have expiration dates and if a repair facility is willing to do any work on a vehicle regardless of its age, they should take care to return the vehicle with previous working parts still working. My outside door handle was broken off in a minor accident and I was not able to open my door from the exterior of my vehicle. For about two months the only way I gained access to drive my vehicle was by opening the passenger door and reaching across to the driver's door and using the pull handle inside. The handle clearly worked before bringing my vehicle to this poor repair facility. This shop owners and employees I had contact with are threatening, rude and again unprofessional. They do offer a reasonable way to fix the issue they created and it would not be safe to return to this facility alone, as they are aggressive and lack personal responsibility. I have paid for my door handle to be reconnected to the perfectly fine cable. No new part was required and the repair cost me the labor repair of $60. As seen in their statement, they do not know what they are doing and should not be trusted to work on BMW's or any other foreign vehicle. I want the $60 reimbursed to me by Kustom Kolor in order to satisfy their error in not correctly connecting my door handle. In-fact there where 2 other things not done right on my vehicle by this shop; The inside door full panel was not placed back in the correct position or provide with new clips to hold it in place as the existing ones were damaged by removal of the panel by this shop; I was told during the connection of the cable that there were items glued together on my door panel as well; I pointed out to Mikey when I arrived to pick up my vehicle that the door rubber molding seal at the place where they worked on my side mirror was not in place. His immediate response was to deny any work on that. After him fumbling around for 10 minutes, he decided to take the car back to the repair area and after some time, brought the car back to front lot and said it wasn't snapped in to the receiver completely and that was all it needed. These items were immediate connected and at the work area of my vehicle but the shop started barking about the age of my car because they could repair what they damaged. They owe me an apology and $60 to end this complaint. They can mail me a check immediately. If required, I can take a picture of the receipt for the labor of reconnecting the door pull and fax it to them or the Revdex.com, while asking the Revdex.com to remove the name of the shop for security reasons.
