After fixing recall issue on our van, our radio no longer receives signals from AM or FM stations. Repeated calls from me have me unreturned On 4/23/16, my wife [redacted] took our 2003 Honda [redacted] into Barbour-Hendricks Honda around 8am to have recall issues fixed. After picking up our van at around noon, our radio would not pick up any AM or FM stations. I called and left a message with the service department asking someone to return my call. After not hearing anything by the following Wednesday, I placed another call and was told someone would call me back. They never did. After leaving a message again a few days later,I had one person call me back while I was at work, and they left a message to which I returned within the hour. I was then told my call would again be returned and it has yet to. I have made 8-10 calls to this service department in over a month, with no one bothering to resolve this. Our radio was working perfectly fine until it was returned to us by Barbour, and their lack of professionalism with respect to standing by their work is extremely frustrating. We simply want to have our radio working as it was before it was serviced.Desired SettlementWe want our radio/antenna working as it was when it was brought in on 4/23/16Business Response I have left Mr. [redacted] 3 or 4 voice mail messages asking him to return my call so that we can discuss his radio issue. I left him my name, position with the company (GM) and my cell number to call. I have yet to hear back from him. I would welcome his call to try and resolve this issue. Consumer Response I received one voicemail a couple of days after my initial call to which I called back and was asked once again to leave my number and someone would call me back. I have never heard from them since (this was at the end of April). The vehicle was traded in on 6/15/16 and I purposely did not buy from Barbour , although we had intended to, because they did not fix a simple thing that they broke. Since I no longer have the vehicle, I guess there is nothing they can do for me. My experience has, and will be shared with family and friends and through social media. I hope they treat the next customer better than they treated my wife and I.

They, as a sales and service staff, are dishonest and charge for services they haven't completed. They also, I believe, recommend un-needed workI want you to know that Barbour Hendrick Honda (BHH) in Greenville, NC has effectively made me, a drive-a-Honda-forever woman, rue the day I set foot in their repair shop. a brief summary...They have:-given me some mulit-point inspection checklist at each service telling me all of these things below had been inspected and were in good order not to break insinuating that they glanced at these items prior to checking the "ok" box.-neglected to replace drained radiator fluid effectively destroying my van forcing me to buy a replacement-lied about changing oil in the replacement van. flat out lied. got caught. offered free oil change as a make-up-tried to refuse to honor our purchase agreement which stated they'd split my 105k service (because they destroyed my old van at the 200k service which I paid for in full 5 days prior to my transmission locking)-failed to do a recall service, which was the primary reason for my visit that time, instead only doing an oil change.-failed to replace valve during 105k service which triggered a check engine light. --a week after another multi-point inspection, fluid flush, oil change etc, my car died. I towed it to them and here we are...They called yesterday to say they "think they have it narrowed down to the starter b/c the battery looks good, just has corrosion so for $500 more they could fix that and they think it'll work." I swear to God that's a quote. They called today to say that at "second glance the battery harness looks pretty bad and even after replacing the starter they feel like it should crank better so they'd better go ahead and replace the $180 harness."This is the highlights of my 360 days relationship with BHH . One year. And I have emitted lies and inconsistencies in the interest of brevity. At this point I suspect they didn't really do all that was supposed to happen at the 105k service that fell under their expense. I am sure I am in for months of breakdowns and expenses if I keep this vehicle. This time they also recommended I prepare to buy $800 worth of tires within the next 2-3 months. when I bought the car a year ago they said the top of the line [redacted] would last for well over 60k miles. I have driven 20.Desired SettlementI'm not sure what they can do to repair things at this point. They've done irreparable damage to my confidence in them. If they would take the van back, and eliminate the loan, I'd gladly give it back just to know our relationships was totally severed.

Complaint[redacted] is Less than 36 months old, and has Less than 36,000 miles. Barbour Honda will not warranty cover a factory broken DVD headset. My car is in full warranty

Barbour Honda advertised a [redacted] but did not listed or show anything about the replaced dash that has shrinking leather dash.On 7/4/15 I purchased a [redacted] through the website online at Barbour Hendrick in Charlotte. I received my car on 7/9/15 in Greenville. The [redacted] had a shrinking dash because the dashboard had previously been replaced. This information was not disclosed until we notified Barbour Hendricks of the dash in a text message to the manager. The manager at the time did acknowledge that we mentioned the dash in the text and noted that they would take care of anything that was not right with the car because they had not taken it through the proper inspection in Charlotte. The headliner in the [redacted] was falling and wood panel on the passenger door was cracked. After the first time the work was to be done the door panels did not match and still don't match. The headliner was fixed about a month later on 10/0/15. When I received my car back after the headliner was fixed. The door alert would to go off until about ten minutes after entering the car with seat belts on. This was not made known to me and my check engine light was on because I asked Barbour Hendricks to change the oil. One of the six I have with Buyer plan. I returned the car and the next day 10/13/15 received it back with the engine light out but the door light and alert still on for ten minutes after start up. I feel that Barbour Hendrick's did not fully disclose the car on the internet and once I purchased the car did not want to replace the dash and did not advertise it "as is". I have only had my car in my possession for about 1 month after the 4th of July purchase of my car. Barbour Hendricks General Manager stated that they would not replace our dash even before he was suppose to know about the dash because he did not report it to me, but knew it would need to be replaced with out looking at the dash. I do have text messages from the manager stating that Hendricks would fix my dashboard. False advertising and none disclosure on a internet purchase. Thank you /////Desired SettlementI would like for my dash to be fixed to look like any other [redacted] dash or I would like my money refunded for my purchase./////

Complaint I bought a carfrom BOB BAROUR HONDA. After the fact I now found out it was a Predator Loan, the car was a lemon. The car surrendered. $6000.00 bal. JULY 02, 2013 I accepted a job with the [redacted], my car was tampered with, causing me to have to purchase another vehicle in order to get to work. I was referred to Bob Barbour Honda, by a family member. I visit Bob Barbour Honda in Greenville NC. I was told if purchasing the vehicle I could trade it in within 6 months of paying on time. I later found out after trying to trade the vehicle back in after 6-12 months of paying on time that this was a PREDATOR LOAN, UPSIDE DOWN, the car was a lemon, which was given to me fast without a down payment, slow credit, no funds for the tags. Therefore it was planned to deceive my wife and I by allowing us to purchase this lemon, and sticking us with an upside down loan. No one would take it as a trade in, the vin# on the vehicle showed in the the system that something was wrong with the car and with the loan being upside down, we had no other choice but to surrendered the vehicle. The car was only worth about 7000.00 80000.00 we had paid about $5000.00 they sold it in an auction and recovered about $6000.00 and now are still trying to get about $7000.00 out of us. This was a scam with [redacted] and Bob Barbour Honda Inc. both conspiring to prey on people. I'm asking Bob Barbour Honda INC. to give [redacted] the money taken on this loan, being that we surrendered the vehicle, and they did not honor the verbal agreement of allowing us to trade the vehicle back in after the 6 months of paying on time.Desired SettlementWe would like for Bob Barbour Honda Inc. to return the loan money that touch from [redacted] Inc. Concerning the vehicle, we surrendered the vehicle and paid about $5000.00 on the vehicle after that they were able to sell the vehicle in an auction for $6000.00 which that have already collected about $11000.00 on this vehicle from us the vehicle was at a value of $8000.00 we we purchase it. We would like the negative balance of $6000.00 cleared from my closed account and cleared off of my credit report.

Barbour Hendrick Honda has had 2.5 months to process my extended warranty and still have not. I have made several attempts to contact with no return18 Oct 2014, I sold my car that I purchased from Bob Barbour Honda. That same day I requested a refund for my unused portion of my extended warranty. After 4 weeks, I began to inquire about my refund. After several phone calls that I did not get a return call, I stopped in to speak in person. I spoke with the senior finance mgr and he gave me the number to the warranty people. I called them and they said they rcv'd the request to terminate on 20 Oct and transferred funds on 30 Oct 2014. Two first of the month periods have come and gone and Bob Barbour Honda still has not sent my refund check. [redacted] from the Business Office called me on the 15th of Dec 2014, and told me they "hoped" to have my check in the mail on 19 Dec 2014. I do not think that check has been processed and mailed. Could someone please make contact with Bob Barbour Honda, now Barbour Handrick Honda of Greenville NC.Desired SettlementI think that the refund of 1038.50 AND the escrow interest should be surrendered immediately without delay!Wednesday, 31 Dec 2014, a rep from Barbour Hendrick Honda called to inform me that my check was being processed/signed that day. He ask if I would like to pick it up or have it mailed? I told him to mail it. Friday, 2 Jan 2015, the check was received, I then deposited it into my account. I didn't get the escrow that my money made for them, but I did get $1038.50 finally after 2.5 months. I learned a valuable lesson, NEVER NEVER NEVER under any circumstances to conduct business with Bob Barbour, now Barbour Hendrick Honda OR any of the Hendrick family of auto dealers in the North and South Carolinas or the Hampton Roads region of Virgina. Additionally, because I had to reach out to the Revdex.com for issue resolution, I plan to contact the same base commanders or [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] stations in Hampton Roads VA to have this Automobile Dealer AND the line of Hendrick Dealers "black listed" and forbid military members from shopping at ANY of these dealerships. Revdex.com, thanks again for the assistance in this matter and helping me to get my refund.

Bought a used vehicle, with 3 month 3000 mile warranty from Honda. 1100 miles later major issues.Bought this vehicle and traded in my old vehicle and paid the difference in cash. Was told vehicle passed all checks etc and had the warranty with it. I put just less than 1100(One thousand, one hundred miles on it) and I noticed for a coupe weeks it was leaking a fluid and making a weird noise. I assumed oil or transmission and wasnt sure about the noise. I carried it in and was told the radiator was cracked causing transmission fluid to leak. I assume it was under warranty. Oh no. Service said they couldnt do anything that I would have to speak with the sales manager. The service tech told me if they transferred me he wouldnt pick up so they would transfer me to the front and I needed to ask for [redacted] or [redacted]. I did this. Right off the bat he was arrogant and rude. Told him the situation and explained it only had 1100 miles on the warranty period etc. He basically said I dont care and it was my problem. He did say if the issue had occurred the first day or two he would understand even if I had put 1100 miles on it then. At this point I am upset because 1100 miles is 1100 miles regardless of two days or two weeks in the warranty period. Basically at this point the manager was so pompous towards me on the phone I got off the phone. The service department then tells me my timing belt is bad and so is my tensioner. Now at this point I fail to beleive all this happened to my vehicle with in the warranty window and I was basically forced(cause I need my new vehicle I just bought) to pay close to a $1000 to get my vehicle fixed that I just purchased and had 1100 miles that I out ion it. The sales manager should not be talking to customers the way he did and offer to help people who spend this kind of money. He did nothing and said he didnt care. I will NEVER buy anything from Barbour hendrick honda ever again and it is sad when I have purchased several hondas from them and this manager and vehicle can ruin a name. I had to carry it back in again because it was still leaking and now the NEW radiator had a manufactures defect and had to be replaced again. Now when I pick up my vehicle there was oil all over my armrest which is now tainted with smell and discoloration and when I told the service advisor they looked at me like I was stupid and didnt know what I was talking about. She sees it and says oh let me take it to detailing to wipe it off. This should have been looked at before it was brought to me saying it is ready and I can pick it up. Poor experience all around but mainly from the sales team and their manager. People who just paid several thousand dollars for a vehicle with a warranty shouldnt have to pay another 1000 to get it fixed under a warranty period. Not to mention the person who worked on my car said he could or could not tell me it may have had that issue when it was originally brought in. Also the noise I had they never figured it out. I had to fix it myself but getting on Pilot Forums online. To see what the fix was, Honda had never heard of it but google and other have. Desired SettlementSee above, I would like most or all of my money I paid to have my car fixed back. I shouldnt have to pay that kind of money when my vehicle only had 1100 miles put on it and the manager treat customers that way and tell me he doesnt care that it is my problem.

The dealer did not perform or did the diagnosis poorly and tampered with my car to justify the result of diagnostics.I am the owner of 2005 Acura RL. The invoice [redacted] Payment of $228.03 paid with a credit card for diagnostics. I was hearing a winning sound when I turned the steering and the car was running hotter than normal. I took the car to Bob Barbour Honda on 10/19/2013 where they did a diagnostic and I was told that there are 2 blown head gaskets caused by the over heating and the power steering pump and reservoir is bad and need replacing. When the car was delivered to me the power steering fluid was drained from the reservoir and the oil in the engine was drained below the dip stick. When I asked about it I was told that the oil from the engin went to the radiator and there was no power steering fluid due to the bad pump. There no oil in the radiator or any leak of fluid or oil. I have checked both the oil and power steering fluid before taking it to the dealer and they were both at the normal level. They did remove the oil and fluid intentionally to justify their finding of damages in excess of $3500Desired SettlementI am asking for the diagnosis charges of $228.03 to be refunded because (1) it was poorly done or (2) it was not done at all.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@Hendrickauto.comWhom it may concern Mr. [redacted] pulled into our dealership on 10-19-13 @9:05am with out an appointment. He asked us to perform a diagnosis on his car. Mr [redacted] stated the car was making a whinning noise when turning and his car was over heating. At that time we advised him of the diagnosis fee of $228.00 and he signed the work order and left the car with us. We pulled in the car and check all fluids, the oil was not touching the dip stick power steering fluid was very low,and we had to add 1 gallon of coolant. The battery failed the load test and 2 tires needed to be replaced. Per Honda diagnosis flow chart with no coolant in the cooling system we needed to perform a cooling system pressure check. After adding 1 gallon of coolant we performed a pressure test on cooling system. The test showed a 1.5psi drop in the cooling system with no external leaks. With no external leaks found we needed to perform a cylinder leak down test to find out which cylinder was using coolant. To perform that test the coil packs must be removed to gain access to the spark plugs, once removed we noticed the valve cover was melted from extreme heat, this could only come from long and on going over heating problem. The leak down test revealed cylinder #2 had a 40% leakage, acceptable range per Honda is 10-15%. We now know were the coolant was going. With this kind of leakage we could smell coolant flowing into the exhaust from a leaking head gasket. This would have caused the melting of the valve cover and a rapid loss of coolant and is causing the over heating problem for Mr, [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] other complaint was a whinning noise while turning. We found that the fluid was low in the power steering system. We did a visual inspection of all power steering components and discovered the power steering pump was making the noise and the cause of the leak. After all proper diagnosis was done we put together an est for all needed repairs and called Mr. [redacted]. The service advisor ** explained the needed repairs and was told not to perform any other service to the car. ** advised the customer he would only have to pay for the diagnosis he had signed for at the beginning of the transaction. On 10-21-13 Mr. [redacted] came to the dealership to pick his car up and pay for the diagnosis. After he paid his bill he asked the service manager to come out and top off his fluids. We did so even after he told us not to perform any other repairs.Customer was not charged for topping off his fluids. 10-22-13 Mr [redacted] called and asked to talk to the service manager ( [redacted] ) and told him that we miss diagnosis on him car and wanted a refund. He stated we removed or drained all the fluids from his car. We told him we did not remove any fluids and in fact we had to install 1 gallon of coolant to perform and accurate diagnosis of the over heating problem. In conclusion if the customer had check all fluid as he stated the car would not have been over heating and the power steering pump would not have been making noise. We have issued a refund to satisfy the customer.
