Bardo Ramirez Roofing Reviews (1)

Review: Greetings

I wish to file a complaint with the correct department of the Board. I feel that when a service from a licensed contractor is unacceptable and requests to the contractor to resolve issues go unattended it should be addressed for the sake of others who may inquire about job satisfaction concerns before enlisting the service.

My experience with R&B Roofing, owed by [redacted], has been very problematic. I gave Mr. [redacted] the opportunity to discuss with me the difficulties I have experienced with his company twice, and each time he responded that he would, but it has been weeks, and there has been no contact from him.

I requested from Mr. [redacted] the name of the Inspector for the job but got no answer. I prepaid the cost of materials prior to the onset of doing the roof, and I paid the remaining balance in full upon completion.

The tear down and re-roofing appeared to be okay at first glance. However, after the roofers left, everything started becoming apparent.

There was water running down my driveway, which was from the roofers cutting the input and return water pipes that go to the pool solar panels. I clearly told them that the systems had to be re-installed because that is the only way to heat the pool so it can be used. My pool man, Richard Heaton, discovered the problem. The roofer’s covered over the area through the roof where the pipes had to be re-installed. The pipes also should have been capped.

Sierra Pacific also came to re-install the solar system the roofing job was finished. They discovered that the roofers broke and cracked the pipes absolutely destroying them, and then threw everything down on the cement making them no longer useful. The solar company refused to even try to salvage any of it.

For the first time, a rat died in the attic, and Clark Pest Control came out to find and remove it. They informed me that the insulation which was put in by the roofers, had a big area, about eight feet long, that was left bare.

That is three professional people that have made observations about the job.

I had a brand new trap covering a piece of equipment which is stored in a side yard. The tarp was taken during this time, and when I mentioned it to Mr. [redacted]. An old tarp was put in its place. It was completely worn, had holes in it, and paint spilled on it. He claimed it was the same one. This was not acceptable.

The roofers also removed the gutter covering, threw them down, even in the neighbor’s yard, and did not replace them. Mr. [redacted] told me that they gutters were in very good condition. They should have been covered again.

For me to repair all of the damage will cost a lot of money. Also. Their clean- up was very minimal, leaving dirt, tile bits, staples, etc,. everywhere, more than what would be expected.

As mentioned, I tried to provide a time to discuss these issues with Mr. [redacted], but he did not call to set up a time to work with addressing this. He also knows where I can be found, as he has been a customer at my place of business.

If I should be approaching another office with these concerns please inform me of where that might be. I am grateful for your time and assistance. Sincerely. Patricia CoxDesired Settlement: requests to the contractor to resolve issues go unattended it should be addressed for the sake of others who may inquire about job satisfaction concerns before enlisting the service..... systems had to be re-installed because that is the only way to heat the pool so it can be used...The pipes also should have been capped...

Business

Response:

Company states: The consumer was concerned about pipes that were related to her solar panels. We explained to her and indicated in our contract that I am not the installer nor have any liability with the solar panels. She had contacted us for a leaky roof and problems with the roof which we addressed. Their were pipes that needed to be moved to another area of the roof because it was causing the issues in her roof she complained about. We had to make a cut to the pipes to get to the area of the roof that had issues. I came back to her house and explained this to her and she said she understood this now. She also had an issue with a leaky gutter so we installed screens for her which resolved that issue. We also gave her a tarp as a good will gesture in case she has any further issues.

Response:

Consumer states: The company did come out and settled issues and there are some things that they are still working out but I am thankful they came out.
