Barette Bernard Enerflamme

Furnace replaced early 2019 by Barrette and Bernard (BB). They did not wire the AC correctly, 3rd party confirmed. BB do not want to be for 3rd visit.
March 2019, Barrette and Bernard (BB) replaced my furnace. Upon completion BB confirmed that the AC was wired correctly and confirmed that once summer arrived the AC would work.

Once summer arrived, my tenants attempted turned on the AC and the AC was not working. That being said, I assumed the issue was due to the AC as the furnace was working. I contact my 3rd party vendor to verify the issue with the AC. The 3rd party stated that the AC was not working because it was not correctly wired in the furnace. The 3rd party had to add a fuse in the furnace in order for the AC to function correctly.

I was charged for the service call, labour work and the fuse for a grand total of 214.12 CAD. The diagnostic provided by the 3rd party clearly states that the installer of the furnace (BB) did not correctly wire the AC.

I presented this information to BB and they stated that it was not their responsibility given that the sales agreement stipulates that *** products offer 10 year furnace and 1 year on labour. Given I was originally told by BB that the AC would work upon turning it on in the summer, I did not assume the issue to be the furnace. I assumed that since the AC was not functioning, the problem resided within the AC (which is NOT a *** product). Any reasonable person would make this assumption.

That being said, I have been trying to reason with BB to have them reimburse me for the service call, labour work and fuse required to have the AC functioning. I have not made any progress.

BB did not due their due diligence in assuring the product installed was correctly installed. I am now questioning whether or not there are other issues with the furnace.
