April 20, 2017Dear *** ***,I'm responding to the complaint with assignment UD ***.Here are the facts as I know them, concerning the flooring at the *** home located at *** *** ***, Quarryville, PA ***.**and *** *** purchased Camden Flooring, Embellish ***
*** Castle Oak from Bareville Flooring in October We arrived at their home on November 8, ???? removed an existing fully adhered vinyl from their foyer entrance to install a fully adhered luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP).We were called back to the site due to the flooring not be fully adhered to the concreteThe specific Complaint was that the flooring planks were coming loose at the joints, Wesent a technician out to the site to make a repairThey confirmed that the planks were loose at the joints and they made a repair to correct the situation.We were called back to the site again for the flooring planks coming loose at the jointsUpon consultation with the manufacturer, it was discovered that the Sales Representative for Camden flooring prescribed an incorrect adhesiveSince this error was made by the Sales Representative, he corrected the error by supplying new flooring materials with the correct adhesivereturned to the Kalpokas home and removed the flooringUpon pulling up the flooring, we noticed some condensation on the bottom of the LVPSince this material is adhered to the concrete, excessive moisture within the concrete poses a problem with the adhesive and is not recommended by the manufacturerWe installed a loose lay vapor barrier material on top of the concrete and then adhered the LWP to the vapor barrier material.We were called back again to the site for the same concern, LVP joints not fully adhered, We removed pieces of LVP and replaced the materialWe confirmed that all the joints were fully adhered prior to leaving the site.The customer called again within days for the same concernI contacted the manufacturer and our Sales Representative again concerning the failureIt seems that the moisture content within the concrete exceeds the manufacturer's specification and the adhesive is failing discussed the option with **and *** *** about replacing the fully adhered LVP to a floating "click" LVPI offered them the opportunity to consider other designs and colors since we'd be replacing the floor at our expense and they responded that they loved what the originally selected and would like to have that same product in the "click” versioncommunicated with both **and *** *** that I had ordered the flooring and it was expected to arrive on Tuesday, April After receipt of the flooring, indicated that I'd contact them to schedule installationWe have in fact received the click LVP flooring at Bareville and will be contacting them today to schedule the installation.I firmly believe that Bareville Flooring has worked diligently to move this situation forward and continues to work toward satisfying our customer.Sincerely,Brian BOperations Manager
