Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: We ( [redacted] and myself) Have both on many occasions attempted to get in touch with Val and luckily with the available apps nowdays all calls and text as well as Emails are backed up therefore we have proof of those attemptsThe fact that Bargain auto denies this shows a true lack of moral integrityI am not a mechanic myself however I trust that my mechanic would not lead me astrayThat being said we are taking the vehicle to a certified shop today and once they give us the diagnostic and estimate for repair I feel confident it will verify what my mechanic originally found as the cause of the engine seizure. As far as what I said when I spoke with someone at your office, What I stated was that we had spoken with Goodwill and they advised us to work it out with Bargain if it was found to be a negligent acton their part (Which installing spark plugs that do not fit the vehicle would be exactly that)Goodwill finance did say however that they might have the ability to help with financing the cost of repairs to the vehicleWhen I originally spoke with Goodwill the account was currentAs a matter of fact there has not been late payment prior the engine failureI have spoken with them folllowing our last corredpondence and informed them of the entire situation and the likelyhood that we would be forced to seek legal recource given Bargains unwillingness to address this issue in a manner in which would be fitting of a reputable business [redacted] and I are only wanting Bargain to take responsibility for their mechanics negligenceAs previously discussed one of two things occured both of which would put the liability on Bargain1) As told by Bargain they do a full inspection and tune up all vehicles prior to putting them for sale on their lot2) Bargain lied to us during the purchase process to give us a sense of security in order to make the saleIf scenario is the case then their mechanic was the party that installed the part that ultimately caused the engine to seizeIf is the case then they would be liable for providing information and entering in to a contract under pretenceEither way the vehicle was maintained in a proper manner by us and the damage was a direct result of negligence by Bargain auto Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear [redacted] and [redacted] , To start with our customers never have to call more than once to get an answer back form us that's just because like I said in the previous response we do take pride on our customer service now we try to have all the answers on the customers favor but there is times that we cant, its has to work both waysThe female that you referring to is SANDRA and she is part of our team and she can talk to customers and help customers same as everyone else on our teamIts true that the battery issue was present and we did take care of it as soon as you guys were able to drop it to our shop and I don't know why you say it was not done when we never heard from you guys until the issue with the engine came up , that's six months laterAs far as the $you guys were both contacted and you both were aware of the $balance as a deferred down payment, we talked about the tow package and Val said that will use our discount to get the best price possible and I will see if I can help at least with half of it but not when you still have a balance with us it just doesn't work that wayThe inspection was done to the car and it passed it other wise it wouldn't be on our lot that's a guaranteeI know that if a spark plug touched that cylinder we would of seen an issue right after the first start of the vehicle not after monthsWhen [redacted] called us he said that he did talk to the Finance Company and they told him that they would help, that's why we followed up with the finance company right away to get more details and see if they are willing to help and that's were we found out that they want their account current as well and have a certified mechanic diagnose itWe don't know how they approach issues like this do the refinance the loan or they just help out on with the bill, that's something that would have to be discussed by you and the finance companyI think the offer that they previously offered still stands with them (you can always call them and discuss it) but I know they made it clear to us that they would like the account current firstYou guys are more than welcome to give us a call and discuss it

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Tostart we have contacted Bargain Auto on numerous occasions over the past months with no responseIt took calls on 1/19/and Val still never got on the phone but gave info to the female who answered to relay to ***Second, The issue with the battery was never fully resolvedThe contract states that the battery will be replaced and that did not happenThe mechanic only disconnected the terminal to reset the battery lightAs per this Bargains response to the original complaint they state that they perform an INSPECTION which Val stated included a tune upIf a tuneup was done that means that it was they who installed the wrong sized spark plugsnobody contacted *** or *** about $on the contrary *** tried contacting him on numerous occasions about the tow package.*** never said that the finance company was willing to help them out*** was in contact with the finance company and they said to get an estimate and take it to Bargain Auto Sales and see if they would help us out.as far as the diagnoses is concerned, *** made it VERY clear that the car can go anywhere for a diagnosesANYWHERE.As far as the information that was forwarded to *** and Bargain was waigting on a response is ludicris because what was said by Sandra (hopefully I have the name right) ( the female working at Bargain Auto Sales)was that we needed to get another estimate and take that to the finance company and the finance company would be willing to refinance the loan to included the maintenance work done on the Buickand ADAMANTLY informed *** that they would not help any furtherAs a matter of fact when *** mentioned that *** wanted to get a hold of the RevDex.com, *** was very much informed that they would not help out in anywayWhy would they help out someone who is just going to slander their name in the mud.*** has tried to discuss the situation numerous times until he was just told point blank that they wouldn't help.I am sending along the email sent to me about the spark plugs---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: *** *** Date: Mon, Jan 15, at 4:PM Subject: Buick rendezvous To: ***[email protected] I looked at ***'s Buick rendezvous, and I found that the number cylinder had slammed the piston into the spark plugThis in turn caused the engine to seizeIn my opinion the cause was too long of spark plugs where installed, a.cDelco is the part number that was installed, when the correct plug should be an autolite xpor equivalent.
Sincerely,

This complaint to us comes as a shock. We always strive to provide the best customer service for our customers and provide great reliable used vehicles for them. They are used and unfortunately we can get surprised some times, just like the way we did with the battery of the 2006 Buick Rendezvous...

that this complaint is about.  As far as we are concerned that issue was resolved right away and we never heard from the customer again. We do inspect each of our vehicle, every customer has every right to have their mechanic check the vehicle before purchase as well. We did try to get a hold of [redacted] and [redacted] multiple times to collect the $200 balance that they still owe us but never was able to get through them and the account is still open to this day,  We finally heard from [redacted] on the 01.19.2018 where he told us the story about the Rendezvous engine quitting on them and he told us that he has been in contact with the finance company and they are willing to help them out so they can get the vehicle up and running and wanted to know if we can do something to help them out. As a company that strives in good customer service we were willing to help out no doubt but we wanted to know where was the vehicle diagnosed at, which shop, so we can contact them have more information and wanted to make sure that the engine was the issue because to be honest spark plugs to cause the engine to go out wasn't making sense. [redacted] never told us which shop diagnosed the vehicle  he just kept saying that a Master Mechanic diagnosed it and that was it. So we still don't have the exact information and the diagnostic report from the master mechanic that shows what happened to the vehicle.  We called the Finance Company as well to discuss the issue with, the respond we got was that yes they will consider helping [redacted] with the vehicle but they wanted to get a diagnostic report from a certified mechanic and the estimated cost for repair but first they need to bring the account current with them as well for them to proceed any further. All this information was forwarded to [redacted] and was advice that he should have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic and forward us the report and that's what we were waiting on until today 01.23.2018.  [redacted] and [redacted] are more than welcome to give us a call and discuss the situation further. Bring all the accounts current and we are most certain that the finance company will do its part and we will do our part to resolve this matter.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
We ([redacted] and myself) Have both on many occasions attempted to get in touch with Val and luckily with the available apps nowdays all calls and text as well as Emails are backed up therefore we have proof of those attempts. The fact that Bargain auto denies this shows a true lack of moral integrity. I am not a mechanic myself however I trust that my mechanic would not lead me astray. That being said we are taking the vehicle to a certified shop today and once they give us the diagnostic and estimate for repair I feel confident it will verify what my mechanic originally found as the cause of the engine seizure. As far as what I said when I spoke with someone at your office, What I stated was that we had spoken with Goodwill and they advised us to work it out with Bargain if it was found to be a negligent acton their part (Which installing spark plugs that do not fit the vehicle would be exactly that)Goodwill finance did say however that they might have the ability to help with financing the cost of repairs to the vehicle. When I originally spoke with Goodwill the account was current. As a matter of fact there has not been 1 late payment prior the engine failure. I have spoken with them folllowing our last corredpondence and informed them of the entire situation and the likelyhood that we would be forced to seek legal recource given Bargains unwillingness to address this issue in a manner in which would be fitting of a reputable business. [redacted] and I are only wanting Bargain to take responsibility for their mechanics negligence. As previously discussed one of two things occured both of which would put the liability on Bargain. 1) As told by Bargain they do a full inspection and tune up all vehicles prior to putting them for sale on their lot. 2) Bargain lied to us during the purchase process to give us a false sense of security in order to make the sale. If scenario 1 is the case then their mechanic was the party that installed the part that ultimately caused the engine to seize. If 2 is the case then they would be liable for providing false information and entering in to a contract under false pretence. Either way the vehicle was maintained in a proper manner by us and the damage was a direct result of negligence by Bargain auto.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear [redacted] and [redacted], To start with our customers never have to call more than once to get an answer back form us that's just because like I said in the previous response we do take pride on our customer service now we try to have all the answers on the customers favor but there is times that we cant, its has to work both ways. The female that you referring to is SANDRA and she is part of our team and she can talk to customers and help customers same as everyone else on our team. Its true that the battery issue was present and we did take care of it as soon as you guys were able to drop it to our shop and I don't know why you say it was not done when we never heard from you guys until the issue with the engine came up , that's six months later. As far as the $200 you guys were both contacted and you both were aware of the $200 balance as a deferred down payment, we talked about the tow package and Val said that will use our discount to get the best price possible and I will see if I can help at least with half of it but not when you still have a balance with us it just doesn't work that way. The inspection was done to the car and it passed it other wise it wouldn't be on our lot that's a guarantee. I know that if a spark plug touched that cylinder we would of seen an issue right after the first start of the vehicle not after 6 months. When [redacted] called us he said that  he did talk to the Finance Company and they told him that they would help, that's why we followed up with the finance company right away to get more details and see if they are willing to help and that's were we found out that they want their account current as well and have a certified mechanic diagnose it. We don't know how they approach issues like this do the refinance the loan or they just help out on with the bill, that's something that would have to be discussed by you and the finance company. I think the offer that they previously offered still stands with them (you can always call them and discuss it) but I know they made it clear to us that they would like the account current first. You guys are more than welcome to give us a call and discuss it.
