Bargain Barn Tire Pros Reviews (%countItem)

My *** was driving okay before I took it to Bargain Barn. When I left it died at every stop light.
I took my *** to Bargain Barn on *** at 12:30pm *** (appointment scheduled for 1:00pm ). I was taking it to them to get a diagnostic on what was wrong with it. On my way there is drove as normal as it does but once I left it died at every stop light. I paid $*** (Rounded to the nearest dollar) for them to figure out the issue and they told me it was the throttle position sensor and a vacuum valve leak. I paid my bill and headed out around 1:30pm . The first few stop lights I hit my *** sounded like it wanted to die so I gave it a little gas while in idle. Then the last two stop lights before my house my *** died on me while idling even with pumping some gas. I thought the issue had just become worse from the leak in the vacuum valve they mentioned. So I messaged my mechanic around 2:00pm *** and told him what they found and let him know my car was dying on me. We scheduled to meet up on *** around 7:30pm . On *** I was not able to drive my *** at all to work and had to arrange a ride. Later that evening around 4:40pm *** I went to *** to pick up the items my mechanic needed for the fixes. Around 5:30pm *** I popped my hood to take some pictures of the Throttle Sensor and Vacuum valve and noticed the Throttle Sensor was not plugged in. Around 8:00pm , my mechanic showed up to take a look at my ***. He replaced the Throttle Sensor and used *** cleaner to find the vacuum valve leak. He confirmed there was no leak in the vacuum valve and informed me of a situation he had with Bargain Barn before and that Bargain Barn must have unplugged my Throttle sensor while checking it and left it unplugged so the issue seemed more drastic so I would get it fixed by them that day. I am filing this complaint for paying $*** dollars for a diagnostic that was incorrect and for them proceeding to make the issue worse by not plugging my Throttle sensor back in after checking it. If I had not noticed sooner there would have been more damage done and more repairs needed to my vehicle. In the worst case scenario it could have caused an accident if my car had stalled and died instantly while driving.

Desired Outcome

I was upset to find out they would make an issue worse for more services and how many other people have had the same issues, but at this time I would just like a refund for the false diagnoses and trying to make the condition worse by not plugging my Throttle Sensor back in. As I stated in my complaint it could have caused a major accident if my car had stalled and died instantly while driving. There are too many variables that could have occurred in a situation like that. I hope this complaint will make them think twice about what they will do for more service.

Revdex.com called the company *** talked to consumer and has refunded her money she is satisfied.

I was charged ***$ without my permission for a repair I did not authorize.
*** initially called about my *** and informed me of a few repairs that were needed I did not authorize these repairs to be done. They replaced my thermostat without my permission it was still under warranty with another repair company I would've easily had it done there free of charge. All I asked was for the charge to be refunded after he refused I plan to file a dispute with my credit card company as well. This was a blantant attempt to take advantage of individuals that have little car knowledge to extract money for unnecessary repairs. Like I said I only want my money back for the unauthorized repairs.

Desired Outcome

I would like my credit card be refunded the amount that was charged for the unauthorized repairs.
