Bargold Storage Systems

Review: Rented a storage unit ([redacted]) about three years ago. I vacated the unit on 10/*/2013 and was out of town till November *, 2013. I was billed in advance for November *, 2013 for use of the unit for the month of November 2013. I called to let them know that the unit has been vacated and the keys returned so I shouldnt be charged for November 2013. This is when they are telling me about some notice to vacate form that I've never heard about before, plus telling me that I have to give 30 days notice so at this point I'm liable for the November 2013 rent though the unit is empty and there is a waiting list for storage units. I think it's unethical to try and collect double payment for one unit in the event it's rented for October or collect a monthly payment for November from me for a unit that was vacated on October *, 2013.Desired Settlement: I do not want to be charged November 2013 rent for a unit that was vacated on October *, 2013.

Our occupancy agreement requires a 30 day written notice from the occupant to vacate, as reflected on the occupancy agreement signed by [redacted] on 12/**/2010.

[redacted] notified us on 11/**/2013 that the room was vacant and failed to give the required 30 day written notice. As a courtesy to her we have waived the required 30 day written notice and also Bargold did not charge her for the November 2013 rent.

Attached is a copy of the occupancy agreement and [redacted]'s vacate notice via email dated 11/**/2013.
