Review: On or about 10/12/15 I ordered 2 cords of firewood from bark river tree service for delivery at my home the following day. The firewood was delivered on 10/13/15 by dump truck and dumped at the top of my drive way. The business was payed by check $914.37 on date of delivery. No receipt for the wood was offered or given to us. The wood was in a loose pile and at the time we could not tell the amount delivered. The following day my wife and I stacked the wood in 8'x4' wood racks. Each split of wood was a nominal 16". This results in each rack being 1/3rd cord of wood. 2 cords of wood should have filled 6 racks. After stacking the wood we found we were 1/2 cord short of what we had payed for. The next day 10/16/15 I called Bark River and told them we were short 1/2 cord of wood and asked that they come back to my house and view the stacked wood. They refused to do this and told me to email pictures, this I did. In a return email "[redacted]" at Bark River said I had stacked the wood too tight. I called Bark River and was again told it my fault and they would not deliver the shorted wood.Desired Settlement: Bark River Tree Service refund immediately the cost of 1/2 cord of fire wood ($228.59) if tax was charged.
