I DO NOT recommend Barker & Sons Plumbing of Anaheim California.
They came out to test our gas lines on Sunday and had to come back on Monday with parts. Then we paid them over $1400.00 and the Gas Co would be here in the morning to check it and turn on the gas. The guy from Barker & Sons, Raul, said he would come back in the morning to take care of anything else that had to be done. He never came back and after 3 phone calls and e-mails to the company to get our water heater turned on it is now 4:30 PM and the sun is going down and NO ONE has shown up from Barker & Sons.
Do yourself a favor and hire some other company or you will be sitting in a house with no hot water!
[redacted] and his assistant did a great job, with a fabulous attitude. I actually enjoyed the experience, and that's something I never thought I'd say about having a plumber come out to repair something!
Barker and Sons Plumbing office scheduler Missy Barker was pleasant and very service oriented. [redacted], the plumber who arrived at my house to assess my assorted plumbing problems was prompt and competent. He stands out for his ability to diagnose a problem and explain the customer's options. I would recommend this plumbing company.
Honest and Reliable Plumbing Company! We had been having problems with our sewer line and even had a major flood causing massive damage. Total nightmare!! Even after the problem was so called fixed by another company we were still experiencing backups. I was then referred by a neighbor to Barker and Sons Plumbing and I truly couldn't be happier.
Had a slab leak...Difficult to find. Barker and Sons performed the work to my satisfaction; on time and within monetary expectations, and with competence and professionalism.
Review: On Monday, 1/27/2014, we contracted with Barker and Sons Plumbing to do plumbing work at our residence. The work involved cleaning out a sewer pipe of roots that had caused our toilet to backup. They satisfactorily completed the work and showed us where the roots were and recommended that we have certain additional work done to prevent a future occurrence. We submitted this to our Homeowners Association, which requested that the plumber indicate the location of the work recommended. We called the plumber, the next day, and requested that information for our Association. The plumber, at first, refused to provide this info. They then asked that we send the email from our association requesting the info. They also stated that someone would call us back that day (Tuesday), leading us to believe they would work with us. On Wednesday, 1/29/14, after receiving no contact from the plumber, we again forwarded the email from our assoc asking them to acknowledge receipt of this email. As of the date of this submission, we have yet to receive any communication from the plumber, either by phone or email. I now believe they have no intention of recontacting and working with us to provide the info that our Assoc requested. We have spent approx $3500 with them in the last several months, and, at least, expected the courtesy of a return phone call, as they stated they would do, or a response to the two emails that they requested be forwarded to them from our Association. Because of this extremely negative experience with Barker and Sons Plumbing, I will no longer do business with them, nor will I continue to refer family and friends to them.Desired Settlement: None

Response:
Dear Mrs. [redacted],
I have received your email regarding a complaint made against our company, case
ID#[redacted]. Since that time we have
resolved the issue with the customer. Please see review below for [redacted]. I have included an outline of what transpired
On 01/27/2014, our customer contacted Barker and Sons requesting an appointment
due to a stoppage in their sewer line. Below I have attached a copy of the
events that took place regarding this call.
We were again contacted by our customer on 01/27/2014 at
4:01 PM in which she requested that we send a detailed letter to her HOA
regarding the exact tree that was responsible for the root invasion. It is not
that we refused any of the requested information; we explained that in order to
collect a professional opinion on the tree causing the root invasion, it would
require a professional arborist and we would only be able to supply our opinion
as opposed to an exact determination. We
informed our customer that we would be able to forward her a copy of her
invoice the following morning as we had to request the additional information
from the technician as well. On 01/28/2014 at 8:26 AM we sent her an e-mail
containing the invoice, our contractor's license, worker's comp insurance, pre
and post hydrojet videos and a list of arborists along with their phone numbers.
We then contacted her to inform her that the e-mail was being sent but it may
take some time, as it contained some larger than normal files and the customer
stated that that was fine. On January 30th we also e-mailed a letter written by
our technician, stating his opinion regarding the tree causing the root
invasion, in hopes that it would be sufficient information to provide to her
homeowners association. (Shown in Image A1). Also, please see image below or
reference attached documents containing
a screenshot of a recorded timeline of
events noted in the customers file.
We contacted our customer to address this matter at which
point they rescinded their negative review on yelp and replaced it with a
positive one. (Please see image below or
reference attached documents).
We feel that we have satisfactorily corresponded with our
customer in a timely manner, and went above our customer service requirement to
ensure that our customer was provided with adequate information to provide to
her HOA.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond.
Sincerely,
Barker and Sons Plumbing
