Brothers Services just completed a roofing job on my house Early in the morning, before work was begun, their roofing project manager, Ben *** did a thorough job informing us as to what his crew was about to doBen is worth his weight in goldOur roof was a particularly difficult one to navigate because of the steep pitch and many dormers but the man crew all worked together to complete the job within daysWow!! Ben strove for perfection when inspecting his crews' work and made sure the work site was as neat when they finished as it was when they started actually, it looked neater after they were finished Ben also promised to contact us later to be sure that we were completely satisfied with the finished product We are! I thought finding a reputable roofing contractor, that could simultaneously install new attic insulation, would be easy With the roof off, what better time to blow in attic insulation than when attic access would be eased by removing some decking material? I soon found that finding reputable contractors, who could do both, wasn't easy
Fortunately I located Brothers Services, Inc(BSI) But I thought I (in the DC suburbs) was out of their territory (Baltimore) Sure glad I was wrong
I couldn't be happier with the roof and attic insulation installed by BSI From the initial estimate meeting to job completion, everything was perfect An efficient crew, supervised by Brandon Crone, arrived early in the morning and soon had tarps surrounding the house to catch debris After the old roofing material had been removed, the insulation crew arrived Adam & Derek soon were blowing insulation into the attic through openings created by removing a couple of roof decking sheets While that was happening, the supply truck arrived and off-loaded the roofing materialOnce that was done, the roofing crew began installing the new roof on both the house and two garden sheds Brandon installed new shed roof framing where it had rotted and the project continued without missing a beat The entire job was perfectly timed and coordinated By 4PM, everything was cleaned up (including the thousands of nails that are a natural by-product of this type of work) Other than the beautiful new roof, there was no evidence that a few hours earlier a busy group of professionals had been installing a new roof and attic insulation
Later, I became concerned about the style of ridge vent they used on my project and mentioned this, in passing, to the company Soon, Brandon and Ben *** were at the house, addressing my issue
To say I've been impressed with BSI's work and customer service is an understatement Hmmm, I need a guest bath remodeled...I think I'll give them a call Yep, they do that too

The other 1/of the roof was upgraded to raised ridge metal roofing The geometry of the metal roofing was complex and required care to properly interface with asphalt shingles The project manager for the metal roofing was Gordon *** Gordon really knows the metal roof business and the quality of our finished roof is outstanding
Our project had significant discovery and new work scope that could not be estimated prior to starting work This has been common with most of the work on our old house and was not a surpriseWhat was different with Brothers Services was quality of communications and professionalism of our project managers Both Ben and Gordon took lots of pictures, explained the problems and recommended corrective actions
Both Ben and Gordon were on site every day They made sure the house was watertight during significant roof maintenance They personally inspected subcontractor work to make sure the work was done correctly and the work site was cleaned up
We have had prior roofing companies do repair work on our house following Hurricane Isabel and Hurricane Irene Their work was not so carefully managed nor supervised and their repairs did not last In fact during the current roofing work, several examples of poor quality and shoddy workmanship were discovered
In my opinion if you are looking for quality and professionalism, Brothers Services would be my first choice
