There has been alot of miscommuication on this matterAfter researching the matter,a check for the repair and resolution has been reachedI believe that this matter has been resolved as of May 31stIf not please let me know.Thank you. Ed BarlowPresident

The following is what we know about the complaint. In October Kenneth *** brought his Silverado into our shop for rust he found on the left quarter panel of the vehicle and under the truck bed The vehicle was under warranty at the time, so we worked with General Motors to
get the rust repaired at no cost to the customer We primed and refinished the metal to the customers satisfaction upon delivery. We have a few other repair orders for different issues since then from the customer, all of which were to the customers satisfaction at that time.Yesterday, 3/10/16, the customer came in and spoke to our service manager about rust he found on the truck At this point, the corrosion warranty on the vehicle had ended roughly three years ago, on 08/11/ The rust noted this time around was on the right rear quarter panel Because the vehicle was out of warranty, General Motors declined to cover the repair In reference to the Carfax complaint, the service manager also noted on the vehicle Carfax that on 6/10/a motor vehicle accident was reported involving the right rear which was primarily damaged, according to Carfax If the area was primarily damaged, there would be question as to the integrity of the first paint work that was possibly performedUnfortunately, the dealership was not the one who reported the accident, as it is stated on the Carfax to be a NJ Damage Report Also, please note Barlow took ownership of this location in December of 2010, so this occurred before we were here If this isincorrect, the customer would have to contact Carfax directly to have this removed

Review: First, I asked the same evening for a copy of the carfax but the salesman had already left, so I followed up the next day. I was shocked to know that it not only had one accident, but two. The vehicle was driven less than 1000 miles and the engine needed over $2700.00 in repairs to internal engine components. I have been told I am stuck with it. I already had to invest almost $1500.00 to get it to pass my home state's safety inspection. I have also been refused a rental car, and am now having to pay for a car rental out of my own pocket.Desired Settlement: I think this dealership should try to locate a comparable vehicle for me. Or take this one back. and cancel the contract.
