My vehicle was unlawfully towed by Barnes Towing.My vehicle was towed on November 11th, 2014 from a private residential lot where I am a resident. Barnes Towing was in violation of multiple provisions of the Town of Chapel Hill Towing Ordinance at the time of the towing, including improper signage, failure to provide a receipt, and failure to provide a copy of the Town's handout on towing procedures.Specific provisions of the ordinance:http:/Sec 11-301 2(d) - the name of the towing company was not listed on the signageSec 11-304 (a) - no receipt was providedSec 11-304 (b) - no handout was providedDesired SettlementI was charged $150 in cash for the tow, and I'd like a full refund, given that the tow was unlawful according to the town's ordinance.
